Help me with my trait points!
Depends what you are trying to do. The most common thing to do is go arms then take deep strike as your skill at 30. Then load up on signets and enjoy ~100% crit chance for a while. This is by far the best strategy for leveling in PVE at lower levels. Then you can either go discipline for run speed or strength for berserker’s power.
Use a greatsword and then a one hander/horn (I prefer mace for stuns and blocking) for traveling around. I also carry a bow for the aoe for encounters to max my exp and a shield just in case.
This spec is not that much fun since you only use one weapon (two handed sword) and never use buttons 6 7 8 9 or 0.
That being said choose a play style that seems the most fun to you. The only tree I would discourage at low levels is tactics. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot it offers at low levels
At low lvls you won’t see much difference between weapons and stats, personally I went with a handed sword until my late 50s, using only power and vit, after that I switched to dual axes with vit/tou/pow. Now use mace and shield build. As suggested above the signets build works well at low lvls due to the mobs not coming at you in big masses as they do in the 70+ zones and over all the battles are brief. For dungeons you might want to bring a shield + one handed weapon + a ranged weapon and switch signets for banners or control physical utilities.
I try to be the one who heals people, the banner guy, the one who helps in the battle The Leader. Deffensive
So how should i set my trait points after that?
You won’t be getting the shout heal for a while, but try to go to Mists. There you can tinker around with your spec all you want to get an idea for what you want to do.
As you just said, banners, heals, defensive.
30 points in tactics causes your shouts to heal, put some in defense and tinker around with the rest of the points There is no “This is the only right spec to use”. I have every confidence in that you will learn which traits/abilities that suits you the most
I use Hammer and Mace/Axe. I find the traits that work best for me are 30 Arms, 20 Defense, and 20 Discipline. Using half Knight’s half Vaklyrie armor. Good damage and defense
Tactics is worthless for damage but very good for Paragon-esque frontline supporter builds. Focusing on either Banners or Shouts lets you apply fairly steady team-wide healing at level 60+, as well as rotating through a fairly diverse set of AoE bonuses depending on whether you spec for healing Shouts or regen-granting Banners.
The problem, as previously stated, is that Tactics is absolutely worthless for damage and requires a thirty-point investment to be worth any investment. This cuts deeply into your ability to help your allies by killing their enemies, which is another specialty of the Warrior. You can at least partially work around it, but there’s no getting around the fact that Tactics minor traits blow all the chunks and that you can’t skimp a single point in the line if you want what it has to offer.
Still…go X/Warhorn, pick up Quick Breathing and Vigorous Shouts, grab FGJ!, OMM!, and SIY!, and realize that the spirit of the Paragon is alive and well. If that’s what you played back in the day, here ye go.
