Guild Wars 2

hi guys!
i’m an old “new” warrior in gw2. i created my warr as my first toon almost a year ago but i left it at lvl 50 to bring (in order) a necro,a ranger,a thief and a mesmer to 80..
now that it’s warrior time i leveled it to 80 trying different builds and weapon combinations but i’m stuck with a heavy dilemma:
what weapon could be the best for a “shout” build?

i run a lot sword+warhor/longbow and i felt really good with it but i didnt have that feeling of “power” i had with a simple gs or hammer power build.
so

i feel pretty tanky with this
lot of condition damage
lots of healing and condition negation
good HP and armor

since i run a lot with friends and guild members in small raiding groups i feel also a good team-warrior due to shouts and warhorn

BUT
i know i can do better..i know that something better than this is just hiding in front of me..

i’ve seen some “shout” builds using hammer but i havent tried it to say mine
others use axe and gs but they are less common

what is your experience with this kind of build? what weapon do you use and why would you suggest it?
i can also bring some changes to my trait and armor/rune/sigils combination but before this id like to be strongly motivated

I use sword+shield/Greatsword with my shout build. It’s more defensive than yours, but I love it. I’ve used this build more than any other on my warrior, and i’ve been playing since pre-launch. I use this build in WvW:

Sword is for mobility, shield is for survivability. I used to use a rifle for the off-weapon, but lately I swapped to GS for increased mobility. Liking that added mobility a lot. I really like the utility and tankiness of shout builds. I’m playing with a banner build in sPvP, and thinking of testing it in WvW. If you like that build, you can read up more on it here:

It is a very flexible build, could go any of the following weapon combo:
dual sword/GS/rifle/shield/War horn/LB

Depends on the situation, sword + shield / dual sword provide very high active defense, and high damage final thrust with unsuspected foe.
