i figured as much so which class could go dif specs all around those dif playstyles and be the best support for him? druid? herald? guardian? what worries me about the herald is lack of condition removal….
If you’re gonna PvP, do something like 2x zerker beserkers with rifle, and rain hellfire down on your enemies. Duo roaming DPS or something.
Otherwise take one tanky dude and 1 of the above zerkerberkers. Tank should have strong res. +1 if the tank has heavy CC to let the zerkerberker land all his big hits.
The posts above me are all horrible advice. Warrior is fine, just not Berserker elite spec. I have the most success in a warrior duo when I’m playing with a support guardian, a Druid or a good staff ele.
Overall it depends on your personal preference and skill levels. If he is new, you might want to play a non-support class and you should both be relatively tanky. I would recommend a GS guardian or a DD ele. That way you two can just beat down targets and not have to worry about dying right away like you would playing a thief or Mesmer. I always find that when I duo with a thief or a Mesmer I always have to save them from downstate. However if he is good, play support and have him play high damage, low sustain builds. Any really good warrior with a support class next to him will kill almost anything.
Oh, totally forgot about Revenant. Probably the best duo partner for a warrior.
