Curious about Hammer+M/M 0/0/30/30/10 Shout build, how do you kill stuff -speed wise- and not get kited to death in PvP?

If you’re Hammer then you have better pray that you have good team mates to make use of your stuns.

You can’t really beat anyone 1v1 with a “support shout + Hammer” build.

There’s no kiting in sPvP unless it’s Graveyard… in WvWvW you’re going to usually be rolling with your team, not alone.

I don’t really see the problem since you do have ranged aoe disables and a leap.

Also, most of the damage will not be coming from you.

You chose a super tank build maxing both vit and toughness, using very defensive and control orientated weapons, you lose the ability to be a killer. Your build should be all about flinging opponents around and keeping them stunned, while your dps friends do all the damage. If you want to be a killer change your build to something that is more offensive.

You could try going Hammer + GS or Mace/mace + GS. Should be able to get some nice HB’s going on then.

I use 0/0/25/30/15 for fast hands and use Hammer/GS. It’s more of a PvE build but I am able to control enemies very well in WvW. The fast hands is great when I need to switch to my GS for more damage or mobility. I can survive well under fire as well, but don’t get too comfortable as excess crowd control will cause you problems.

The AoE confusions you land may not deal a lot of damage but they will confuse especially since enemies may not realise from where it’s appeared, introduces a bit of hesitancy. Leg specialist for AoE immobilise is too good to sacrifice IMO.

People may accuse you of being a lazy signet build but you still get to do the job you were built to do which is AoE crowd control.
