Champion: Phantom, Hunter, Legionnaire, Genius
WvW rank: Diamond Colonel | Maguuma
I have recently made a Warrior, and although not yet 80 I am very much enjoying myself. As someone who mains a Necromancer and also frequently uses a trapper Ranger, I’m obviously a big fan of condition builds. So just out of curiosity, are Warrior condition builds particularly good? This is speaking from a WvW perspective. And if so, could you please link a build? I would very much appreciate any builds or advice regarding this question ( :
Hi,
Condition builds work very well in WvW roaming, as they let you apply bleed (up to 25 stacks) and a bit of burning, while offering you a resilient base and a flexible game play. They’re probably not fit for zerg fighting, though.

Regards.
I appreciate the response and build links! I threw something together similar to what you’ve linked with personal preference in mind.
Will using a hammer to interrupt foes work well for applying confusion with “Distracting Strikes” trait?
Ah, so you’re examining the path of the confusion variation.
Using hammer to interrupt works well, but IMHO this is not enough. Hammer, besides confusion on interrupt, does not bring any condition damage – and relying exclusively on confusion is too bold a move in my view (in other words, hammer is not profitable enough). If you want to use the hammer nevertheless, then exploring hybrid setups (mixed condition and direct damage) could be more interesting.
Note that your build is unusual, in that it does not include the Healing Signet, Adrenal Health, Cleansing Ire and (to a less extent) Fast Hands, which are traits that warriors always seem to consider essential in WvW builds.
I’ve used for a long time the following condition build (distracting strikes + perplexity runes):
What I liked:
I’m not sure I’d play it nowadays, because of the 15/04 nerf on the runes of perplexity. Now, if you really want to maximize the potential of interrupts, rather than taking the hammer I’d suggest adjusting your utilities, running physical utilities, and possibly Rampage as an elite. Even if you miss your interrupts (which is quite unlikely), you deal enough condition damage to remain lethal.
HTH.
Good to know, I’ll have to review my build to include your mentioned skills ( Adrenal Health, Cleansing Ire and Fast Hands ) as well as possibly replacing the hammer. Or, I may go with Carrion gear so that I can get the most out of the hammer’s physical damage, I still have a lot of experimenting to do.
I’m still very new to Warrior so I’m sure learning these essentials will come with time. Thank you for the advice though!
If you want to go full condi,Sword/sword,bow is the way to go.Torment is op as hell,if youre able to constantly put torment on someone while being able to blast away with your bow, switch to sword to apply your bleeds and cripples…you will see what happens.Add a sigil of doom on your sword or bow aswell.
Anyway,pm me ingame if you want and we can go 1on1 in spvp so i can properly explain and show it to you.
