I’m sorta new to warrior so I missed the discussions when traits came out so I want to ask again, for DPS warriors how do you like the new traits?

I think the strength, discipile, and defense line are really nice. I don’t think I’ll ever take tactics but arms would probably be good for certain dps warrior builds (I use GS/hammer). I REALLY like all the traits except for adept strength traits because they seem useless. There are so many god kitten damage modifires, like you pretty much get a permanent 10% damage boost with stick and move. only thing I have a problem with is adept defense line because there are two traits I want at the same time. but that’s about it. one of the few classes I have trouble with is ranger only because of their binding thing, but with the trait that takes away binding with a movement ability that won’t be a problem anymore since we can just do the hammer smash or greatsword 3 which is on a low cd PLUS we get a 25% movement speed with that trait!!

I have a question though. How does Berserker’s Stance work for the grandmaster strength trait? If I use an adrenaline skill at 3 bars, that means I get 10 seconds of 20% increased damage?

These are all the traits: http://dulfy.net/2015/04/25/gw2-core-specializations/#Warrior

There are so many damage modifiers and other things that look REALLY strong to me, I’m not sure if I’m reading some of them right tbh lol

D/D Elementalist takes no skill but is good at everything in the game.
Mesmer is unfun to play against and does everything better than thieves.
Hoping those two get gutted with nerfs

Short answer, yes…Warriors will do a lot more damage after the new traits come into play.

Several warrior builds will do dramatically more damage.

First, some traits were merged so more traits can be taken now.

Second, you get three full specializations instead of 14 trait points … so more traits can be taken.

Third, and one of my favorites, stats are decoupled from trait selections … so you can more easily combine various trait selections with different stats. This will be quite interesting to watch as before speccing into weapon traits for Mace/Hammer meant you were speccing into a line that didn’t give any offensive traits so you might not have as many offensive traits as someone who spec’d in say Greatsword whose traits are currently in two very damage oriented traitlines in the current trait system.
