I’m currently running axe shield/gs
(yes I know i wont be able to fight kiters well with that setup).

The main struggles are mesmers obviously and thieves mainly for the stealth and blind.
Guards next for block spam.
Ele’s and Necro’s since they are tanky and just wont die.
Rangers and other Warriors I don’t have a problem with.

Feel free to say whatever and critique my build as well but please give constructive advice.

Warrior main here. Maybe switch out Signet of Rage for Rampage, combined with switching Restorative Strength with Peak Performance. IMO Rampage is much more powerful than signet.

As for trouble in fights, GS + Axe/Shield will always struggle against builds that have access to blinds, blurs, or dodges. This a big achilles heel in the current meta, because most of the top builds right now have a lot of access to , you guessed it, blinds, blurs, or dodges. See -> http://metabattle.com/wiki/MetaBattle_Wiki and open the Ranked Arena tab, and look at the META Ele / Mesmer / Thief builds. It is an uphill battle.

But at the end of the day, play what is the most fun and enjoy the ride. If this warrior build is frustrating, never be afraid to experiment!

Yeah I do use peak performance and rampage with team pvp but, I don’t consider it a true skill since its kinda faceroll right now and isn’t really “core” warrior gameplay.

In regards to the current meta yeah i know its fighting an uphill battle but i figures there’s gotta be ways to counteract some of the other classes advantages.

Actually Rampage is pretty to deal with 1v1. Just kite, spam blind and/or weakness. It’s when a Warriors comes from around the corner in a team fight and motorboats his keyboard to 1shot someone it becomes a problem.

I fought two separate warriors who popped rampage while I was on my trashtastic mesmer and it really didn’t help them. Blinds, distortion, and stealth rendered rendered it useless, tbh.

On my warrior, I’ve switched back to SoR, even though I run Peak Performance, because I find the fury, might, swiftness, and perma access to my full skill bar more valuable overall. Plus you get fewer accusations of cheese.

You are right here, this is why I have the hardest time with rogues and other blind spammers, but CC safe stomps, kick and charge every few seconds and boulder always helps me to get fast to kiters, with spec skill that is about roots breaking. Weakness and conditions are being soaked up by huge HP pool. Well I enjoy this skill and it gives me advantage most of the time, unless it is used in the beginning of the fight. Other than that it saves my bottom and I try to use it after CC spam/ low enemy HP to roflstomp and secure the win.

Maybe try switching Endure pain/Balanced stance for Throw bolas or Bull’s charge.
That would help you land eviscerate or 100b + you could root some annoying kiters in 1 place.

To be honest though I gave up on axe shield. It works well for 1v1 duels but thats about it. Swapped back over to meta hammer/gs which im seeing a bit of improvement. I really just can’t stand Ele’s right now. They are way to tanky, have way to much dmg, speed, and almost always takes like 3 or 4 people to kill one.

There is no way to pwn dd cele ele currently, even with rampage they probably jusy run away for 20sec and come back when your rampage ends.

Idk, unfortunately, i am not zerker warrior but shout warrior using settler amulet that doesn’t get rekt by dd cele ele but this.means i cannot kill them also.

Is there any top zerker war who can pwn dd cele ele who is also best in dd cele ele? I hope so cuz currently stance zerker war are best set for 1vs1 dueling.

How about trying skullcrack + sword right / hammer set? And inflict frequent cc plus confusion. Idk if it works though

Becuz dd cele ele works like cast to heal, so i wonder if confusion applied would block their heal?

tough to say. normally they won’t stand still and let u burst them down. Usually if they kite it , drag it out and heal to full. u will eventually lose .. same with other classes as well.

however if u fight on point u can drag it out pretty good without the need to go full tank.

the only dmg coming from DD ele is the burn. technically you dodge , avoid the fire at all costs .. clean the burn if u have too .. you can pretty much stay with him for a long time. that goes with w/e class you play as well not just warr.

Great build. I run a very similar one myself. I suggest taking cleansing ire and throwing balanced stance on your toolbar. It’ll help against all classes you mentioned. Once you get good at popping your stances and heal for condi immunity and direct damage immunity you can run zerker ammy and still be quite tanky.

Mesmers shouldn’t give you too much trouble. Start off with a block to stack might. If you get locked down expect a burst. Break and dodge or endure pain. You can one shot all their clones except defender. Whirlwind through them, axe 2 through them, gs4 through them. They rarely carry stun breaks so shield 4 & evis = super effective.

Necros are a joke just stay out of the aoe. They’ll try to immob you in it just ww out or pop stability. They have almost no active defense just burst them down.

A good dd ele will outplay you everytime. Keep the burns off with brawlers recovery, zerker stance, heal signet, and cleansing ire if you run it. Only use your shield 4 and evis when you don’t see the little rocks around them.

For thieves I endure pain if I get hit with a basilisk venom. Ww through the blind or axe aa if your stuck in axe, but really shouldn’t have too much trouble with blind because your attacks aren’t slow.

For guards keep the burn off. If they’re surrounded by little blue shields that block, press the attack or else those lil blue shields will explode for lots of dmg. If they invuln just disengage for a few seconds
