How do I make Warrior interesting??

Wear no armor, use no traits. Only use berserker stat combo weapons.
This should make the game somewhat more difficult (and keeping weapons berserker should make it not take forever to kill stuff).
For extra justice, take no defensive utilities outside of your heal.
Why not just roll another class…
No.
I’ve got a 80 Warrior and thing it’s boring. Traits are passive improvements of skills. Skills stay passive. Warrior lack of active skill.
Physical skills are the only active skills of the warrior that do something but they’re too weak.
Kagamiku : I like Heavy armor and dislike Guardian “GP Spirit”. Warrior GP need “fun improvements”.

Yeah you can’t force yourself to like a class. Some people don’t enjoy OP, some people prefer magic users. For me, I prefer the physicality of the class.

Hi,
Do the range of viable weapons and traits eventually make playing Warrior more exciting or is it always a boring faceroll? What advice can you give me for exciting play? (Don’t say PvP)
To me, exciting play is synonym with competitive play. Your removing PVP (and WvW?) only leaves PvE, where fights are considerably easier, therefore possibly boring (mobs don’t move a lot, telegraph their attacks, have few attack patterns…).
In PvE, I’d say possible ways of getting competitive plays as a warrior could be:
- try optimized groups of players, and enjoy the synchronization between experienced players and the resulting maximized efficiency,
- try and solo (or duo) instances, using berserker gear. I’ve taken great fun in that (and incidentally made big progress in my understanding of the warrior class).
HTH.
play with only one finger.

I have 8 character slots, with the intention of having 1 of every profession. I have 4 80’s: Engi, Ranger, Necro, Thief.
I’m all about variety. I like alts and I like being able to log on and, if I don’t feel like playing my main, messing around with something different.
That said, different still has to be interesting. Would 100% range work, using only rifle & longbow? What about a shout/condition build? Or is the draw of warrior really that it’s strong enough for many to outweigh the boredom?

I personally can’t bring myself to play warrior for more than about an hour. Have heard the variety of weapons and the fact that pretty much every build is viable (not necessarily optimal) can make the class interesting long-term.
1.Use a Longbow
2.Use different weapon combinations
3. Make your character look like someone from an anime.
Don’t use points in defense or bonus toughness
Go Might Stacking
Go Greatsword
You’ll have higher risk (no Cleansing Ire, low armor, no endure pain because you need FGJ, no cc, yet you need to stay in combat for long enough to build might) and a good reward (crazy damage)
because he doesn’t know it himself
At this moment I have every class at 80 (except Ranger – working on it). What warrior gives me is the greatest dynamic of play – in open world, I can dash and run and leap around entire map, slaughtering one enemy after another. Pretty much playing one is closest to arcade action style game.
So… playing warrior for me is getting GW2 as similar do Devil May Cry as I can ;-)
I think I’m going to focus on using no signets or banners and changing my weapon sets often. High mobility, high control, high damage, all risk, no defense. If it gets dicey I’ll unload knockdowns and dash away. Become an armored thief. Gonna give this a shot.

PvE IS boring, on any class.
Almost got 3k hours on my warrior and still love him the most of all, but I almost only do WvW. Roaming and raiding with my guild.
Most fun I ever had was roaming on warrior in GvG, it is super dynamic, fast gameplay and against equally skilled players. Sweat was literally dripping down after the 10th round and I was exhausted. Just pinnacle of fun you can have in this game.
