The amount of feedback regarding warrior is becoming overwhelming. The two highest posted threads are regarding warrior lack of..well, …everything. I am trying not give up on the profession, but when a full zerker warrior can only max out 2800 dmg on a full 100B on a reaper/temptest/scrapper where are they to go?

The lack of any communication between dev’s and the warrior community is frustrating for many, to the point the more valuable question needs to be asked, Who has just shelved their warrior indefinitely?

For me I have dropped it in PvP.
In fractals I have agony resisted my revenant now.
In WvW I am using any profession but warrior.

I know I do not speak for everyone, but I see more elites and rev’s now and less and less warrior.

No need to suffer, just reroll. At least it’s easy to pick up another class in this game.

i definitely rerolled, something i’ve failed for the past 3 years
if it’s only pvp then it’s way easy to reroll and play something else..pve needs some effort put to it.

Warrior was my first class and I fell in love with him but I tried many other classes and did enjoy them as well. That what every player should do. Having ‘main’ in guild wars is bad since you can share everything between characters. I do enjoy Berserker, because it’s really entertaining specialization but have to agree every other is better in all aspects of the game.

Pretty sure many players maining elementalist felt same after ice bow nerf. It’s good to try something new if you didn’t already and wait for balance :>

I have shelved mine. Warrior was my main, but since HoT released, it’s been effectively shelved. I moved all the 20-slot bags, perma tools and some other stuff off this toon. I’m running a Reaper in HoT, and running a Revenant though the PS.

We’ll also be releasing limited balance updates to fix really key game-breaking issues. Once every quarter, we’ll release a new, major balance update to shake up the meta for the next quarter.

…I would not expect any changes to Warrior or Berserker until the next quarter which would be early 2016. Rather than sulk for 3 months, may as well enjoy the game with another class.

I am the one who drop warrior. Logging in a see my first character feel nostalgic, but I cannot keep playing my warrior. I wish dev team made new specialization or make berserker a new.

PS. I play conditioneer warrior and still feel sick of berserker.

I hated rev for being too “passive” but its not at all. After learning it, it feels like how I always wanted warrior to play. I miss the weapon variety but, it is what it is

My main was/is/will always be warrior. Nowadays, don’t play class anymore since other classes feels exciting and innovative to play with the new playstyle they got. Currently I am enjoying the reaper very much and will probably stick with for some time.

used to duel main engineer and warrior, now I just play engineer.

Warrior has taken nerf after nerf for three years… the expansion pack served as the final nail in the coffin. I’ve moved on to Ranger/Engineer/Necromancer (Reaper).

Warrior has just gotten totally eclipsed in every possible department by other classes… it has become the gold standard of mediocrity. “Jack of all trades, master of none.”

Tried Revenant but as soon as Warrior is fixed (lol) i’m coming back

Regrettably, I had to shelf my Warrior. Scrapper does everything I want on Warrior, only better – with some tricks up my sleeve now, too.

Dropped mine since HoT released, came back to see what new about war and it remain the same with boring mechanics, animation, moved all stuff from my War to Rev but will wait and see what changes they going to make in future, i’m not giving up on War – Yet !!

Dropped it after trying pretty much anything.. Playing condi. guardian now.

After 3 years I had to shelf my Warrior. After a long agony I realized that unfortunately there is no reason to play it now.

I shelved my warrior for now for Dragonhunter. WIll try Rev soon. I will always love my warrior been my main for the longest. I hoping for Berserker and warrior core traits to get some buffs so that warrior will be viable and exciting again. Hoping they give warriors more useful skills.

I just dropped PVP and WvW all I do is PVE now.

Swapped to Revenant also, fun class to play. I absolutely kitten on every warrior I meet (even good ones) and I suck balls at Rev.

Might give DH a go too, and I still need to unlock chronomancer (which is also a lot of fun).

Started a guardian, its like a warrior whose better at everything….sad time to main a warrior

Believe me i have tried and tried since HoT was released.. but the truth is, warrior is just kittenty as of now i cri evritim i see my warrior. Gonna pick up something else, revenant is alot of fun and you can facetank any warrior you see but i’m desperately waiting for a fix that would make my favourite class viable again.

I´m still playing warrior and I am not planning to drop this class for anything else.

I pretty much only play warrior, it´s just my favorite class and I don´t want to play anything else. I´ve been playing warrior since gw1 and have not played anything besides warrior in pvp since gw2 launched, but it is really hard to make it work as the game is right now.

I will not give up and keep hoping that anet will finally do something to make warrior viable again and make the class as fun to play as it used to be, hopefully soon, maybe with the raid update mid-november , maybe two weeks before the pvp pro season starts, I just hope soon.

I will not drop warrior. I will just wait for another “balance” patch with hope for the better days. I will just stick with warrior in PVE till then…

I didnt drop, i deleted my lvl 80 war, rerolled revenant

Tried some berserker builds in PvP, failed hard due to a) no experience with the new builds of other classes and b) not being good with my own new build. Considered playing with my old build to learn what opponents do now, but what’s the point of buying an expansion when you don’t use it at all?

PvEing a revenant now to learn the class. First time I play a class other then warrior.

Played my warrior for thousand hours so its hard to let go. But now I am trying other classes like Druid, Dragonhunter and Herald.

Same here, with Anet’s “Shake up the meta” philosophy PvP is in a state of perpetual unbalance and the changes to stability and conditions killed melee builds in WvW so I don’t even see the point of playing these 2 game modes anymore.

I happen to think Warrior is perfectly balanced and Berserker is a direct nerf.

So I play warrior in pvp, yes. I dont run zerker line though. it ruins my synergy.

I havent played my warrior since HOT release.
Im currently playing my other level 80 which is DH.

May bring the warrior (banner/Phalanx Str) for dungeons still but thats it.

Having said that, they did buff the berserk spec so i may end up getting the elite done (hero challenges) just to get it out of the way but DH is so much more fun in PVE/PVP/WVW right now.

Revenant feels too thief-ish. I personally took a liking in d/f fresh air tempest Ele lately :^)

For future note: Whenever a main story character switches classes, we need to be doing the same.

To the OP: Yeah, i dropped warrior. He only does flax farming now. However, i wanna try this “YOLO Gun Flame” build that i’m hearing so much about.

rolled warrior, kinda reluctantly, way back when my WvW guild needed more (ya that was some time ago) .. and I really enjoyed it. First time I created a character specifically for teamplay.
Will still enjoy warrior a lot but the teamplay aspect has dropped off considerably with each passing nerf, particularly stab changes and the June patch.
HoT has prettymuch sealed it, now I warrior only to drp in solo PvE.
I don’t expect anything significant for warrior gameplay for several months; it would involve not only buffing warriors but also reconsidering all the melee hate available all round.

On the bright side, Fallout4 is released in a week!!! I’m pretty excited!

I really tried it… I waited for the “tuesday patch” since the expansion first came out. The lack of attention to their players, when they are actually doing their data gathering job is plain disrepectful. Bad design done on the elite spec itself and a very bad and lazy attempt to fix things with this patch. A step in the wrong direction I might add. +% dmg to skills… my little brother could’ve given more thought than that.

I’m having fun on my scrapper and druid. One for melee, the other for support; at least those feel up to date to the content. If I want to play with my warrior I have to use the same build I’ve been using for more than 3 years now, boring.

Haha, why dropping warrior? try condi warrior, am currently using longbow/swordhorn build in pve. For pvp I use maceshield/GS with shout heals and 2 endure pain and 2 shake it off with cleric amulet. The biggest mistake to play warrior is stacking full power, this crap never worked for war. Warrior is tank build with sustain condi damage. Now I can do 15 stack of burn damage with my LB plus 8 stacks of bleeds. Play outside the meta, meta sux for war.

Because if I wanted to be far from the battle burning things I would’ve rolled an elementalist.

Unfortunately, some of us are here for the fantasy as well, I like playing a warrior, who is strong, hits hard and endures battles.

Berseker is a weak version of that that only works for a few seconds and needs recharging. Rogues and Mages (generalizing classes) are better at enduring combats in melee than warriors, I don’t know how to think of this… I believe someone screwed up trying to be original.

I’ve always played mostly warrior and guardian.
Now I’m playing DH and Revenant.

I’ll be dropping warrior. Loved beserker on release. It had so many new tools that it didn’t have pre-Hot in traits and skills. Now that Anet butchered the traits, particularly t2 minor I’ll be on my revenant or necro from now on.

I support and applaud the effort in giving feedback as thats important, but the sad truth and reality is that one should never play 1 class. Sure u can have a main, but if ur either pve or pvp and ur into being competitive one should always have a few classes with playstyles u like, otherwise ull only hurt urself playing the waiting game.

Me I dropped warrior after BW3 despite having mained warrior all the way since the 2nd beta weekend of GW2 and it seems like it was the right choice. With the most recent changes to Berserker I can see what ArenaNet is doing, they’re slowly adding small buffs in hopes that they will be enough to appease the Guild Wars 2 warrior community instead of addressing the big scary elephant in the room, Berserker needs a major design overhaul, it’s design just doesn’t work. Actually fixing this would require them to dedicate major resources to this and that’s just not going to happen, so yup… dropping Berserker like the bad habit it is, is the right way to go.
