Hey guys, question:

If you’re wearing 6x Melandru Runes with an active Lemongrass Soup for a total of -65% condition duration … how much more condition removal would you carry?

Or better stated, assuming the above; would you still have a utility choice that is dedicated to condition removal, or could you get by with the Runes and soup with NO other form of condition reduction/removal?

I’m pretty sure (not totally) the x6-Melandru/Soup combo would be sufficient in WvW, but what about dungeons? Can I get away with this in dungeons, or are there 10 second (or more) duration conditions I am not aware of?

Thanks in advance

i belive would be more then enough.
you have high hp enough to surive vs conditions as an warrior.
i only use signet of stamina, and my hp regeneration /lifesteal are enough to survive against conditions.
I’ve also did fractals untill lvl 38, and i can tell you conditions are not an issue specialy when you walk in an group with elementalist /guardian.
my only problems with condition is when i face necromancers that got high condition duration / damage and confusion in zerg vs zerg.
and with melandru /lemongras you won’t clean confusion fast enough

Thank you for the response Rayya.

I guess what I am worried about is running with ZERO condition removal, and then finding myself in a dungeon where the boss fires a 10 to 15 sec chill, cripple or burn and then I have no recourse. To my knowledge, there are no NPCs (or hot spots) that attack with conditions of such huge durations … but I’m not sure.

Perhaps I am being a bit paranoid for no reason —- so I posted this in hopes of getting a response from my fellow Melandru Runes x6 users.

For most cases I just use Sigil of Generosity to handle alot of my condition woes and at the same time make it worse for the enemy as well since it trafers my conditions to the enemy. No need to use a valuable skill and necros and mesmers feel their own wrath instead. =3

Duty is heavier than death.

6 x Melandru, lemongrass soup, Prayer to Kormir, Signet of Stamina, Balanced Stance and Mending… I actually don’t use that much, though.

I play Warrior, Guardian, Elementalist and Thief.

Well, that only works in unfair battle like in WvW.
Since your foe can easily have access to +40% condition duration food as well, it’s only natural that a -40% condition duration food is neccessary, since they neutralize each other.

Anyway, if you’re only talking about WvW, I think it should be enough though.
Cutting the duration for immobilize, cripple, chill is a good start in getting away zergs in wvw.
