How to make a player a projectile - Berserker
Faking this kind of thing almost always introduces some heinous bugs. Honestly, there are tons of projectile skills that aren’t finishers as it is, so why should this one be any different?

Also, consider if the poor fellow gets caught in 2 walls of reflection. That game camera is going to be freaking out, potentially harming the opponent in game and in real life!

I considered something similar while developing the skill, but passed for reasons that tabascodagama has indicated. Making sure that the projectile would line up with the player for the duration of the skill would be hard to guarantee. You run into inconsistency issues where the projectile hits an obstruction but the player is launched over it, or the players is launched off of a cliff but the projectile keeps going. The skill is already pretty complicated under the hood so I wanted to avoid adding too many potential bugs to it.
I do think it would be pretty cool if we could do it though.
Where is that vid with people, in wvw on a bridge, using planks and launch skills to play tenis with a downed enemy? ;-)
found some other amusing things:

Rob if you make players reflectable I may have to consider a new main. Zerker has already reignited my interest in War.

Of course we have no idea how you have this working in engine. But this may just be left field but what if you were to treat a knockback like a leap instead of a projectile. If you were to use modified leap mechanic with knockback status could you not then create a new type of heavy projectile finisher that could have its own set of rules.
This could be applied to things like wvw siege to play off fields as well. Even if it were not added to the wild blow now it could always be added to this and other skills that could be considered heavy projectiles.
Or maybe we just keep it called knockback finisher and certain skills could have a chance to proc extra effects if you boot them thru a field. This would make knockback more useful in pve content for more than a save me tactic. Knockback into a fire field for example could cause a fire burst like the fire sigil maybe.

kitten , and i was so eager to replicate the black hole glitch from SSBM in this game using characters as projectiles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96FDQSfd8a0
So one Zerker, 2 Guardians and one willing (or unwilling) Asura..
With wall of reflection you could play a version of pong with an Asura.
Another OP assuming the devs are absolutely stupid…
