How to maximize my killshot?
Here you go, I simply changed the 10 into Arms for the piercing shots. You have never felt more alive until you see killshot hitting multiple people. Other than that I changed the first trait in Strength to give you a bit more survivability in terms of vitality. You seem to have gotten the most damage you can for your kill shot. So good luck

Question about a warrior’s Piercing Shot – does is only hit players in between you and your target or does it also hit players on the other side of your target to?

It hits targets in a line, too me this is mandatory when using rifle. If you see the commander in wvw charging towards you and hit him you could easily down 3 players behind him.
And one last thing, the piercing shot can be stopped by blocks/aegis/blind/etc which is why signet of might is a really good tool to use for the rifle.
Well, let’s go with this then and see if I can make a compilation out of it
I notice your initial build ignores the crack shot trait so I would assume you plan to “maximize killshot” for 1 target mostly.
Just some food for thought.
- You are using a banner and have 10 in tactics. Why not go for Inspiring Banners for near 100% uptime and more area coverage?
- Sigil of intelligence ensures a crit when you swap to it. You have 2 ways to use it.
- – place it in your rifle and use your banner to trigger the swap (easier and no cd on the swap but you lose sigil of force on your rifle)
- – place it in your off hand and swap it in evey 5sec to trigger and wait another 5sec to swap back to rifle (you get to keep sigil of force on your rifle)
- You have shouts, Lung Capacity is reachable at 10 tactics.
I’m maximizing it primarily for single target, but I’ll take the pierce if it doesn’t lower my damage by much. I’ve had too many mesmer clones or ranger pets block my instakills :P
Inspiring Banners could be interesting, but it takes a while to find a new target after shooting the old one anyway, and it doesn’t actually make my kill shot deal any more damage than it currently does. I’m debating whether I should swap the pierce for an additional damage trait somewhere, but I don’t think swapping it for cooldowns is worth it.
I’m a lazy stacker, so double bloodlusts are a must. I could buy an additional off hand for sigil of intelligence, but with the high fury uptime I find my crit chance decent anyway, so not really worth it for now. I might do that at some point though, if I find myself sitting on some extra gold.
Thanks for the ideas
