What do you think the pros and cons are for both races gameplay wise?

Im a human warrior and thinking of making a norn warrior. But i wanted to know if its a good idea. Norns being big and all having trouble with jumping puzzles and camera issues. Do they have trouble in dungeons or anything? I wanted some opinions

Norn are the best race in the game. We’ve known Snow Leopard & Bear elites are borderline OP since launch. Human offers nothing – especially not to a Warrior.

O hell no, not another cowardly asura that covers himself behind his small size!

Racism apart, I can’t stand Asuras, and humans have really girly faces.

With norns you can make some barbaric BRÜTAL juggernauts of doom (hint: Orrian/Arah heavy armor chestpiece looks GREAT on a norn).

But prepare to meet problems in pvp: the bigger your toon, the more problems you’ll have with the camera and you’ll see all enemies as much smaller (I need a magnifing glass for asuras).

And if jumping puzzles are your thing, prepare to cry.

Humans have less problems.

I have camera issues with my Asura as well as my Norn, they’re just different issues… JPs are rather poorly designed when it comes to the camera and the movement available to the player. You’re going to have these problems no matter what race you play.

Human seems to be the race most armor and weapons are designed for, other races simply have scaled versions that often have horrible clipping issues (i.e. 99% of medium armor for asura). If you care a lot about cosmetic looks, you will have fewer issues with human.
With that said, Norn armor is scaled pretty well (it’s basically just a bulkier human model) and they have some great racial heavy armor.

Male norn are disgusting. Watching them waddle around is litterally painful.
Now, FEMALE norn is the sickest kitten in this game. Everyone should play female norn.

If you want to look like a bad kitten , make a Norn. If you want to have the most in-combat advantages, roll an Asura.

There are times where, not only can I not read any animations on an Asuran opponent, I can’t even tell what weapon they’re using.

For me, Humans are the best for jumping puzzles though.

I don know why everyone thinks female Norns are so cool. Just taller human females at least male Norns look more imposing

Female norn looks kitten coz :

1 – Taller legs. kitten yes.
2 – Human females look like whores or babies.
3 – Female norn is all about effectiveness. No room for fancy or useless.
4 – Nordic typed female warriors are cool as heck.

P.S. – Take a full-body tattoo for extra awesomeness with endgame armor skins.

You’re the first ever person I’ve seen to point that out besides me. I’m often remarking at how obnoxious/dumb it sounds

I can’t speak for the males but I have a ton of Norn females and I think they look great.

I tend to favor Asurans, but made my Warr a Human male as tall as possible. Can’t say that I regret it. I wouldn’t have gone for Norn, though, too big and fat.

She’s beautiful and very much capable of handling whatever comes her way! Perfect example of a Norn, male or female.

As a warrior, I cannot stand super tiny races in this role. It just feels…off. It’s why you never see short warriors in movies, it doesn’t fit and it looks odd. The hobbits were not warriors for anybody who’s thinking that

It’s true though that being super small does give you some slight advantages in combat, but you know, that’s for cowards! Go play another class if you wish to “hide” by being tiny.

Norn looks better if you’re not moving but the animations are awful. Also depends on what you’re doing, if you’re doing pvp or wvw dont pick norn. The big guys always die first .

You kidding? The animations are great.

RUNNING however, that makes norn look so much slower then they are.
