Both sigils are pretty much used by all roamers/duellists nowadays that play power warrior and I’m curious behind your reasoning.

I’ve always been using hydro on my offset weapon and energy on GS mostly for cancelling the aftercast on Arcing Slice by swapping weapons and extra burst and setting up hammer skills due it’s limited mobility besides Earthshaker. I currently play pretty much Hammer/Greatsword only and kinda kept energy on greatsword due being used to it when I played oldschool vanilla axe/shield and GS where I ran int+air on axe/shield. But I’m starting to wonder wether different combo’s might be more favorable now.

It really depends on your playstyle and what you want to achieve. If you want a little extra help landing your first hammer skill, keep hydromancy there. If gs, put it there. If you routinely change up your weapon sets and are budget conscious, keep the energy sigil on the weapon you’re most likely to equip (hydromancy is super cheap).

Honestly though, I don’t think it matters that much. Neither sigil is indispensable.

I put Hydromancy on my GS and Energy on my offset weapon (shield, bow, hammer). The point is to close in, then possibly dodge (triggering Reckless Dodge and making sure Stick and Move is active), then swap to trigger the sigil (chill + damage) and whirlwind at melee. This is a very nice burst, and you end up behind the opponent, so can try and follow up with Rush and Arcing Slice.

Closing in can be done in various fashions, for instance using a weapon skill (e.g. hammer F1), using a utility skill (e.g. Bull’s Charge), or baiting a melee attack from the opponent (e.g. activate Signet of Rage then cancel).

Energy is always good,no matter what build..that extra dodge can save your life.Hydro on the otherhand can dmg for insane amounts on a power build ( needs a nerf imo ) ive seen it do 3k dmg,3k dmg for just swapping weapons is stupid honestly.

Depends on weapon set

I always run leeching+hydro on gs for the insta damage on the weapon swap.

I use leeching/Hydro on GS same as lucadiro.4519

On Hammer i would actually put Sigil of Agility (for the quickness/swiftness) and the new Sigil of Draining (for the interrupt life steal/leeching)

I dont use hammer anymore, im using GS Axe/Shield.

anyone else had his hydro proc on the wrong weapon switch? O_O
