Guild Wars 2

so ive been asking guild people, and random warriors i meet during my travels about their builds and tossing some build ideas around, ive heard it all, from “GREATSWORD OR U BAD!” to a rather intresting axe/sheild bunker build, all of these opinions were apreciate but none seem to fit “me”

so a little about what i want,
ive tested all the wepons or pretty much and have found i rather like axes, 2 of them… and what im looking for is alot of damage, but not busty, i want to but out high dps for sustained amounts of time, that way if u pull a suprize heal, it dosent matter is my #2 skill is on colldown, im still hitting u like a truck.

so 2 axes it is!

now heres my builds if i could get ur sugestions and opinions id really apreciate it.
Traits:
Strenght – 30->axe Mastery, dual weilding, bezerkers power

Arms- 20-> Rending strikes, deep cuts

Defence – 20 ->cull the weak, Last stand,

zero on the rest,

Slot skills,
trow bolas, frenzie, endure pain, signet of rage

my thinking behind the build is, the power and crit will let me hit very hard when combined with a beserkers set of stats but the defence skills, last stand and the 15 point passive heal will hopfully give me enof survivability to outlast most enemies when it comes to that, ive tested the build in spvp and i liked what i saw when using the rifle to let me catch up to runaways, bolas is to keep ppl in melle range and frenzie is to do a opening burst or to finish the fight quick, depending on the situation, endure pain is a nice life saver, and rage signet usualy lasts a whole fight so its OP.

(btw my heal is healing surge, i dont use my adrenaline for anything else)

My initial take on this build is that it is way too glass cannon like with very little upside. Let me break down what I see as potential issues.

I don’t really care for Axe/Axe. It builds adrenaline fast with Whirling Axe, but the damage is subpar. The second thing I noticed is that you said you don’t use your adrenaline, yet the Axe has one of the best burst skills available. You should use Eviserate as often as you can.

The second thing is Frenzy without any kind of stun kind of leaves you open to counterattack at +50% additional damage which is really going to hurt. I guess you can stack that with Endure Pain, but as your only stun break I would hate to use Endure Pain just to Frenzy. You do have Last Stand which will make up for the lack of stun break, but it is still kind of weak.

My biggest concern with this build is lack of condition removal. You have low HP pool with no vitality and you have no abilities that remove conditions. This is not a good combination.

With all of that said, if it works for you go with it. Each player has their own preferences and it is good to work with what fields right for you.

Just don’t use 2 axes.

Honestly. I’ve not come across an axe warrior who has been a problem. Literally any other weapon set is better.

Axe 5 is on a huge timer and does so little damage. You are pretty much a sitting duck once you start spinning as well. Axe 4 is rubbish.

Also, you’re so fragile.

Only reason to have an axe is MH axe for eviscerate adrenal burst, then switch back to your other weapon.

Bolas are awful as well. They miss 9/10 times. Only time to use them reliably is when your basically next to someone.

The only place for dual axes is when you farm the chain events in Orr.For everything else, they’re completely useless.

well what about a sword for offhand bleeds? that be any good? idk maybe i should just change class again lol not sure i found what i want yet

To start off, you need to give us some more info.What will you use that build for?PvE?Dungeons?Wv3?
In the end, play what you like.If you’re having fun, then you’re doing it the right way.
If you don’t have much fun with warrior, try other classes.
Simple as that.

Offhand sword is great, nice bleeds and a parry move makes for great versitility.

Either immobilize and/or chain stun destroys the build easily.

Why do you have extra damage vs weakened foes without at least a warhorn or something to apply weakness?

good point lol, i think imma stop asking ppl questions and just play with it till i get something that suits me, no matter how “bad” i look =3 so many ppl say so many difrent things im getting frustrated,, ty all for your opinions tho =3
