I don't like Berz..another build maybe?
Miss 1 evade and your dead? On a Warrior? I think you’re exaggerating here chum.
Your gear just dictates how much damage you soak up and how forgiving mistakes are. If you’re struggling in Berserker, swap out to Knights and sacrifice damage for defense (big mistake, but I can appreciate not everybody cares about optimal play).
0/6/0/6/2 is a build that can really carry groups by keeping the entire group at 20+ Might stacks. It might suit you, it has +300 more Vitality than your 6/5/0/0/3 build. Strength runes are expensive, so Hoelbrak or Scholar are a more “budget” option.
What I would suggest is to try the build I gave in your Berserker armor, and if you’re still struggling even given the extra Vitality, then swap to Knights.
A few things to note about that build:
- Very reliant on Greatsword for the Might stacking capability. You will seldom actually use a second weapon so can become quite stale.
- Your damage is sacrificed, but your groups damage is increased. You also become more “tanky” because of the Vitality.
- No fast hands. This can become a problem on more difficult encounters where you swap to proc energy Sigils. If this becomes an issue, just remove 1 point from Arms and put them into Discipline so the build would be 0/5/0/6/3.

Learning the encounters and attack tells of the boss, then timing your dodging appropriately, is a much better defense than just increasing your toughness or vitality.
As for traits, if you click the link it will take you to a build calculator where I included the traits to use. But to save you doing that:
0|
6| V, X, I
0|
6| VI, VIII, XIII
2| VI

If it kills you in zerker most likely it’s going to kill you in anything else.
except you do have 1 long evade every 8 seconds called whirlwind, kd from the mace, swap back, another whirlind + dodges… thats a lot of evade time warrior has
if your target(s) arent dead by now it probably means that your other group members decided they’re too squishy as well and all went for tanking gear. have fun pugging
I’m a full zerk warrior on pure gs, can’t remember the last time i got downed and i do 14 dungeons a day, honestly just learn how to dodge, look for tells from enemies, dodge, and as before 3 on gs is a valuable extra dodge too… tbh most of your enemies should melt in sub 5-10 seconds if everyone in group is running meta (full zerk).
I haven’t played my Warrior in quite a while, however.. I geared this build last night and so far it’s great.
- Great survivability.
- Great condition management through Cleansing Ire, Warhorn, Food & Signet.
- Good mobility and CC
- And ofcourse.. permanent Fury and +5% damage
You may wish to drop Furious Reaction as you already get permanent Fury through cripple and runes. You could possibly take Furious Speed and then drop Warrior’s Sprint and use those 2 points elsewhere.
I may be doing this shortly, as I really like the Spiked Armour trait. it’s excellent on builds like S/P Thief, GS Guardian, GS Warrior where they do a lot of fast attacks.

@OP, note that the build that Zach suggested is a WvW build, and as your initial post is about PvE you shouldn’t use it. As a rule, just avoid having any points in defense for PvE.

If you don’t like zerker gear, then you don’t like gw2. There is no other option. Conditions are painfully slow. You can’t control major bosses so control builds are pointless and support builds, despite offering regen, protection, aegis etc still can’t prevent a Boss foe type from one hit knockouts which also makes them subpar. As for healing, with forced equipped healing slots and poor healing coefficients, well it is just not worth the investment. As another player accurately pointed out in gw2, “Death is the best debuff.” All roads leading to Rome should be directed at anything that destroys targets quickly, because everything else is just so lack luster at doing anything useful or purposeful.

This guy said it in kind of a cynical way but I suspect he is right. It’s bad for the game because with all of the armor/weapon stat configurations being unused I think it really skews the economy too.
With all the pugs in Soldier’s/Cleric/Apothecary/whatever I doubt lack of demand for lesser sets is really an issue.
