I love this class, please don't touch it!
haha notice the no replies? thats because you arent crying about an awesome class. to be honest if youre a warrior and dying to a mediocre thief/mesmer. you shouldnt be playing a warrior anyways.
I also have no issues with my warrior, I love him to death. I like warriors so much, I have 2 that are 80 haha. 1 for each type of build i like.
Warriors are the most balanced class in the game, so if they nerfed any other classes they’d be OP. lol the only thing they need to fix is rendering in WvW. Thats the main thing that keeps thieves alive haha.
nice post.

Fix “Throwing Bolas”!!!!
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
Lol! I’ll agree with this… Sorry, I saw this post earlier, but thought someone already responded… Thank Remix for catching my attention that you were the first reply.
Yes, Warrior is my favorite too. Before this game came out, I chose a thief…. then i became a ranger…. then finally, the Warrior! My thief (pvp) is crazily powerful as always, but tooo many people rolling with a thief in PVP these days, so I lost my taste for it.
Ranger was fun for me because they could hold a torch. They weren’t as strong and fast as a thief, but their pet helps me take on several of champions alone. In pvp, i find them kind of complicating, though my good friend helped me find a decent build for it. =b
Warrior, the class that is considered useless in PvP! I think not! Sure, we don’t have too much big range of AOE, but I love it to death! I like charging in and killing people and shouting out my own name before killing people. In 1v1, I rarely get defeated but it DOES happen. Love this class to death! =) It is currently my favorite and I really like my armor (the color I chose is just hot).
Legendary Ranger, Simon
Totally agree with OP ^^ Warrior is an amazing class even for PvP. Screw kiting with a ranged weapon, charge in an melee the enemy to death! Tried all of the other classes and even played some alts to lvl 80 but still always gone back to being a warrior. Something else that needs some fixing tho is Rush wich still ugs out form time to time, leaving you running in 1 spot or missing the enemy.

Sounds good on paper until you go zerg vs zerg in WvW, in where you will want
your Rifle.
I both agree and disagree here with you RollingBob, we need some things about our class to be fixed but we don’t need any serious buffs or debuffs, warriors are just as fragile as any class in this game, depending on how you spec your traits and what build you’re running. I personally run a high end crit build with a tad of hp tacked on to help with high lvl dungeon survival.
Don’t touch this class. +1

Hmmm is this a really bad troll post or just a couple really ignorant players not understanding the short comings of the class? I cannot tell.
Usually you only see these posts when actual changes are coming. Are good changes in the works?

Whats wrong with Warriors: Guardians are overpowered and we are bugged.
The sad truth. How do I know this? Tanking is not supposed to be possible in this game so says the Devs and yet Guardians can tank.
We do have a few issues that could be worked out like unpowered stances and banners though.
Guardian is a tank class..it always has been in any m m o … I think warrior need some buffs and bug fix.
The swap bug has been fixed. I only wish that all of its weapons were buffed to the level of GS in terms of usefulness. I’m not a fan of melee combat so being pigeon-holed into that role on tPvP teams sucks.

Play a profession that uses ranged. Problem solved.
I’m having trouble figuring out if the OP was just trolling and some clueless scrubs fell for it or not too. I would agree that in general, the warrior class is pretty balanced. Not perfect, but reasonably balanced.
The only major issues (besides bugs) that need be resolved are:
1. unreasonably weak and situational early defense traits.
2. lack of incentive to actually use burst skills..vs just sitting on full adrenaline.
3. babysitter design philosophy for dungeons…where we are supposed to rely on someone else to keep us alive.
4. need to equalize mobility options between weapon sets
5. passive run speed vs all other professions that just got normalized at passive 25%
Ever since that revised profession design philosophy post, I’ve been watching the defensive boons I’ve been getting in dungeons. I’ve even group with as many as 2 guardians at one time and wasn’t even getting aegis any more than the default 40 second interval. Hardly ever even got protection. Even less defensive boon up time from other professions. I think the whole concept of being dependent on other players/professions to get defensive boons is a failure in design. You can’t force other players to even slot their boon generating utilities..much less expect them to click them. The expectation that a higher hp pool will make the difference is negated by being a primary melee profession..thereby taking more damage due to being in melee range. I think we should be in charge of our own survival…which means we should have at least one reliable defensive boon…that is not dependent on weapon choice.

Ranger and engineer are probably even worse in the role. There really is no love for ranged in this game.
OP here, this was not meant as a troll post; I don’t think anything is really wrong with the class at all. I’m glad to see that obvious issues like the swap bug are now fixed, I don’t use the swap trait so didn’t know. I am not aware of a bolas bug as i don’t use that really either.
I will say however, that having teamed with multiple warriors in PvE, it is a pretty obvious observation that most people I play with do not really move and juke and kite like I do. I believe that discrepency makes some players feel the class is too frustrating to enjoy.
I read promotional materials about warrior being a movement class, and that is what makes it for me. In fact I don’t feel as flexible on the battlefield with a theif as I do a warrior, although I’ll edmit to not getting a high level theif built up at this point to compare.
I like the complexity and the challenge. If guards are “easy” then so be it, let the ones who can’t master battlefield movement roll a guard. if warriors are buffed it will become a faceroll and everyone will have one, and eventually something will get nerfed, and the whole class will evolve into something it wasn’t intended to be (highly mobile heavy armor with a big bite and lots of styles to bite with).
I would not complain if we got a little buff to regen, but I can live with it as is. I’d rather see current issues resolved, like actually showing the sword crit bonus in the tooltips when traited, actually showing the crit bonus from agony sigils, etc.
In short, I believe that many who dismiss the class as too frustrating are those who are not adept at movement in this game. Consider new styles, new mappings, maybe a fragpedal (awesome item).

The warrior needs no strait buffs it just needs certain tweaks and fixes make certain useless skills useful(Brutal shot is an example). Then their is the bugs but thats a completely different fish.
People complain about the warrior only in terms of PvP as with most of the complaints about classes(which some exceptions such as the gimped Engineer). But not everyone cares about PvP. In fact if you look into just PvE no one can deny that the Warrior is one of the most if not the most powerful class in the game in terms of PvE. It also has a very high skill cap and learning curve which most people arent accustomed to.
Thunderbrew, I roll with Sword/Shield and Hammer in WvW and I do great. It takes balls to charge an enemy force. If you feel like you need to be safe at range, this is not the class for you.
I jokingly say the Warrior is OP, but really it is what every other class is striving to be in terms of balance. Speaking from a WvW/PvP standpoint nearly every build/weapon/skill is viable for a warrior (banners don’t count). Other classes talk about that we are too good because we are able to build however we want and do it successfully. Warriors need to be the benchmark and classes need to be buffed so that their designed builds and class strengths are on par with all other builds for that class and the answer to these problems is not through nerfs.

If someone tells you love is blind, they’re either intentionally blinding themselves in order to stay in love, or their love is yet immature.
I love my Warrior, but he feels like he’s in the wrong game. The weapons I chose feel well designed and play nicely together for me. The class appears to force risk/reward very highly in build and timing. No “overpowered” builds (don’t talk to me about 100B or Killshot, I’m referring to something like D/D Eles, and notice overpowered is still in quotes). No broken gimmicks.
Unfortunately, the rest of the classes seem to have forgotten principles (of PvP, at least) to make sure the Warrior’s counterplay, as well as give-and-take, doesn’t put it at a bummer of a disadvantage.
Odds are they aren’t going to change everyone else, so they really should do a little something for Warriors to enhance the experience. I’ll be waiting and watching from the sidelines to see if it ever happens.

Only GS + Axe/Shield is viable in PvP unfortunately. We’re in a terrible position there.
