Haha when I think warrior I think a brutish armour plated grunt that headbutts things, weapons with complicated moving parts just don’t seem to fit :P

in GW2 the rifle rate of fire makes it worth using in combat
(if u like at RL blunderbus when you had to stuff powder + ball bearing for every single shot and its very slow rate of fire + reload speed then yes melee was tops)

GW2 is now in the transistion from crude axe swinging to tactical ranged combat with modern (somewhat advanced) weapons.

A GreatAxe would rock. We already have 2 hands versions for swords (greatswords) and maces (hammers). Why not a 2h version for the axes??? It would make the warrior in certain armors look more gruesome and vicious.

I’d kill for a “ranged” option on my Axe though.

Being able to chuck it at enemies á la Ranger would be… orgasmic, to say the least.

Would be awesome to chuck two axes into an elementalist in the back line, and then bull rush them to pick your axes up again to get a power increase for a small time and then go into a frenzy rampage of evicerates and chops. She tries to mist away, and then you chuck your axes to cripple her legs, and then throw both axes again to finish her off at a distance, while you swag walk to her to pick your axes up and wipe them clean for another kill, oh wait, wrong game T.T

My Charr has a pistol.. not a main weapon but its there.

Oh and are soldiers today(of all nations) not warriors because they use guns? You should read up on some of the insane kitten some people did in WW2, like Yogendra Singh Yadav in particular charged a machine gun nest out in the open by himself, chucked a grenade inside, and beat the ever-loving-crap out of the machine gunners, then repeated it 2 more times right afterward, taking a couple hits from his enemy as he moved from nest to nest.
