I was an Axe and Shield Warrior.

I am a full tank/shout build, whitch is still viable.
part 1:
But I got a full second set of armor and weapons (including jewelery) that had a mix of DPS and tankyness. This build is now useless and I am probably going to flush it down in the mystic toilet. Thank you Anet to waste me around 70G. Because it was already a build with high risk/ high gain. But now it is just free badges for the enemie.
part 2:
I got a P/P/Cond combined with P/P/crit gear engineer, entire build was made around omnoms. The cooldown on the omnoms has made this build useless and unviable. He even got hit harder than warriors. So thank you Anet to waste me ANOTHER 50G. Buff flamethrower but nerf it harder, I guess I’ll just go nades now like anyone else. Good job to kill your build diversity.

I still am an Axe and Shield warrior.
Last night patch brought no negatives to me, since I never relied on a consumable to be viable, and quite a lot of fun with the new features.
The only thing that made warriors good in WvW is gone. Now we can only be crap and die fast with our 1 heal every 25 seconds or use Rifle / Longbow. How to last in melee group fighting without omnom is beyond me.. i guess its the old jump-in-swing-abit-roll-out and wait for the heal cooldown again. bah.
You silly people who need food to be competent. Learn to play without crutches.

Which featues? Do you mean the new longbow bleed and 5 second cooldown reduction on offhand sword?

No, the rest of the patch that was not listed as warrior changes.
+90% might duration (30% trait 60% runes), Lung Capacity(-20% shout cd), Vigorous Shouts(shouts heal), Inspiring Shouts(adrenaline) , Adrenal Reserves (cheaper burst skills), 5s weapon swap + longbow = perma fire field might fest.

Wait… 60% from runes? I was under the impression that it was 15% from the duos…
Can someone correct me?
Your build is still viable OP, if you play it out well 344hp/s are enough.
Of course it’s not as easy as before tho.

Run Twilight Arbor saying that with a pug group, the dogs pretty much wiped our entire group due to the aggro I got, I was downed instantly, before I could at least heal up with my pies and try to tank the dogs for a bit as people killed them, but now that is not a viable option.
Honestly, I am angry a bit because there was nobody complaining about the pie at all in wvwvw or any forum, it was a fun and valid mechanic that was not overpowered due the nature of how dungeons worked (no healers.) (high burst melee damage.)

I personally PMed the devs to bring up this broken overpowered food. I’m glad that it was fixed.
It’s your fault for spending that much money on something that was obviously overpowered. Everyone knew it would get nerfed.

So you’re claiming that dogs can only be done with broken healing food? Please.
I’ve done TA way before I even used healing food.
If you really can’t play without OP pies it was a L2P issue, go with a build like this and you can’t really die that easily.
You get 600hp/s not counting procs from Blood sigil, 13 sec of invulnerability… I’d say it can’t really get more foolproof than this.
Then once you improve you can work up to a more zerkyish build.

I was giving an example of how different it was, and your relying on invulnerability, you may as well roll Elementalist.

Those dogs are why you have a Hammer. Leg Specialist + Hammer Shock makes their charge inneffective, then stun and smash.
Or: Smoldering Arrow them before they charge.
Or: Shield Stance and let them pile up on you.

They don’t pounce or waste a pounce on you if your already knocked down or have a immunity to it up, they wait until its over then waste all there CDs on you.

Oh right, only might not boon…
Err… I don’t know man.
Boon/Shout warriors are already gimping their damage enough as it is…
Focusing solely on might, in my opinions, takes away even more DPS making it extremely inefficient. With the overall boon increase in shout builds, you can already maintain 22~25 stacks of might. No reason to go overkill and cut off the Fury, Swiftness, Vigor, etc… (I mention these others since I’m assuming you would get Empowered as a Tactic spec)

This is patently incorrect. You can test this solo: enter TA, clear to the first dog group. Shield stance and engage, watch as they all pounce you while you are immune. This is how I lead the charge through them every time when we skip them.
In For/For after the bubble room I would pull the pack with “On My Mark!” and before they get into pounce range, shield stance.
You can also use the same tactics when you fight Nightmare Court Knights to negate their stuns, but they aren’t as scary since the patch.

I’d suggest trying it before jumping to conclusions. By the way you described your past run-ins, I’d assume you popped your stability/immunity too early or too late and suffered another round of their pounce while your cooldowns were still unavailable.
Just a simple cripple from Greatsword and a backward dodge is enough.
