Inspiring battle standard in Discipline?
I’m not sure why they put it there. It may be that it simply got shoved there due to the way other stuff was rearranged. It does seem out of place in discipline as it has no real synergy with anything else there.
I believe they made some of the other banner stuff baseline (i.e. inspiring banners), so it’s possible that they’ll further modify that trait, or maybe combine it with something else. I can’t remember if they said anything in particular on the stream about it (not going to go back and search for it).
As for your suggestion about the longbow trait, I don’t think they’ll do that. The reason is that discipline already has the rifle and hammer trait, and having the longbow trait in there too would start to overload that line with weapon traits. Currently, all lines have 2 weapon skills, except for arms which has 1 (at least in the proposed notes we saw). Making the swap you suggested would put 3 in discipline, leaving 1 in tactics.
Technically, I suppose they could put the longbow trait in arms since it deals with condis, and then put the trait they were moving out of arms into discipline, and then put the banner trait into tactics. I don’t really know what you would take out of arms though as all those traits are there for a reason (i.e. conditions and precision-related stuff).
Ergo, the blessing and major trait problem of Warrior. It has a ton of weapon options so many of the traits become weapon specific
.
Honestly, the only way to fix it all is to move the weapon options and consolidate weapon traits in lines (i.e. hammer moving and not going to the same line as Arms/Unsuspecting Foe shows how much ill-conceived design balance was put into the trait tree layouts).
