Actually seek out potential. Because there is no use whining for buffs right now. Just putting it out there.

Also think for yourself, would you rather listen to someone who sees hope or someone who blames his class instead of making the class work? I’d rather be on the optimistic side because that actually does something.

TL;DR Instead of asking for buffs (Which don’t really happen anyways), find a way to make the class work.

Since people are negative about nerfs, how about we buff to balance then?

Look at Rangers.

Whiners “do” get buffs.

I can do thirty Five-Dolyak Arm Curls.

they needed it, and they need more. it didn’t make sense how some of teir skills and traits were. they’re still worse than warriors.

Does it change that “whiners” get buffs?

No.

Keep pointing out the flaws in the Warrior class and hopefully we’ll get ours, too.

There is no way to “make it work”. Unless you mean just deal with being subpar. Most paths lead to a dead end that falls shorter than the tried and true GS + x/shield. This flawed Warrior design diminishes the classes potential greatly. Our best shot is still the above setup and if anything the patch made it even better. 20% more damage under 25%hp. Fury and vigor once lost 10% hp in one strike. Both of which can help a GS glass cannon build variation.

Anet accepted the META, yet still gives warrior nothing to help boost its survival. They nerfed a tier 2(minor! yes minor!) mesmer skill and it’s still better than BOTH of our tier 3(major!) defense skills.

Illusionary Membrane: Gain protection for 3 seconds when you gain regeneration. 15 sec cd.

Do you know how useful banners would be if we had a trait like the above? Still no adjustment to adrenal health. They can make it pop like a normal regen, instead of being 3x slower. Healing signet is still all round bad. It’s still the worst healing signet compared to the others. These are small tweaks that would go a long way.

Fact is we just don’t have “it”. EVERY road with potential is held back by our lack of. I would just love to be in the room with the balancing team. I really want to know what is said every time they bring up the warrior, besides their laughing. Is there any real thought being put into helping the class? Maybe they are just big number style players and that’s all they care about.

All a warrior can do is deal with it. However, it’s delusional to think you can “make it work” or that you’ll find some hidden gem of awesome.

I don’t wanna live a thousand years. If I just live through today, that’ll be enough.

I have no idea what point you are trying to make, broken traits are broken, no matter how much you try to “make them work”. It’s not like being optimistic about the situation will suddenly make them fix themselves.

If a certain playstyle is underperforming in all areas, simply chosing another one and ignoring the issue is not going to help.

Lots of valid concerns were raised in the ranger forums for example, if only some of them got adressed because of this feedback it was worth it already.

In the “State of the Game” video, Jonathan Sharp mentioned in conversation that warriors are currently being eaten alive by cripples and easily dpsed down. This suggests that the warrior is not perfect in their eyes; hopefully resulting in some changes to gap closers, CC removal, dps, survivability, or some combination of the four.

I believe, in the case of the warrior, we are in a playable state. So as buffs are given to the less playable classes, bringing them on par with ANet’s vision, we indirectly become weaker. As changes are introduced, it takes time for players to adapt and change the meta. Having said that, it’s our responsibility, as other classes are polished up, we make sure and give ANet feedback on how our class feels.

For instance, 4 of the 8 classes are now sporting passive 25% movement speed. Before, the warrior’s combination of CC and SoR gave us a niche as a survivable chaser with most weapon sets. Now, with 50% of the classes able to gain such a great boost to speed, that will no longer be the case. [Edit] Don’t forget the largest patches are coming early 2013. Yesterday was full of fixes with minor balance adjustments. We could be seeing some interesting stuff in the next couple months, game-wide.

Agreed with Veritas. I don’t see a need for a massive whine campaign but the +25% run speed increase on four classes is going to hurt. It’s already hard enough to keep up with classes with teleports without giving them an innate run speed buff that’s almost equal to Swiftness. We should at least get a signet or a trait that does the same (Warrior’s Sprint?) to give us a chance to keep up.
