i dont know anything about current state of gw2 i havent played since launch but am thinking of playing again. anyways regarding hammerbow build.. without bias.. how good is it? i read it is the popular warrior class pvp build, seen lots of people saying its op and stuff. is it really though or are they exaggerating

a t s e is right in saying it is bordering OP in team fights. Bordering, not quite OP. It depends on the situation. Although generally speaking, hambow is quite easy to play, and two hambow warriors can perform very well, even in high end pvp.

Also, longbow and healing signet are getting a nerf next patch. Especially longbow will suffer from it, although not particularly in team fights. It’s a complete overnerf that will not really touch hambow’s capability in a team fight, due to the general ‘chaotic’ nature of those fights.

A friend and I are leveling warriors, and we plan to do a lot of roaming. Someone said above that 2 hambow warriors are a very good combination. May someone tell me the traits on the 0\20\20\0\30 or 0\20\30\0\20 builds?

I’m pretty new to warrior, so I’m kitten sure I wouldn’t figure it out by myself.

Hambow is good for PvP where you don’t have far to go and are always fighting on a point. If you plan on WvW roaming I would go with something that has more mobility. There are plenty of build to choose from.

Where can I find good up to date builds for roaming?

You’ll have to dig through the forum to find them. The more popular ones are, Hammer/GS, GS/AxeShield, Hammer/Sword Shield, Dual Sword / Longbow, Sword Shield/Longbow, Axe Mace/SwordShield. Pick a weapon set then google for builds. I wish we had a section of the forum just for builds so we didn’t have to filter through hundreds useless threads to find a good build.

I am not sure why people think hammerbow is oped. It might be good in small group fights in PvP where you need to hold a point. It WvW, it really sucks. The biggest problem is its lack of mobility.

In WvW the no 1 thing to look out for is enemy zerg. Whether you are roaming or in a zerg, when you see a group of 10+ people running your way, you need to get out. That’s why 1 of your weapon set needs to either be sword or GS.
