Guild Wars 2

Hey all, I’m still fairly new to level 80 in GW2 as a warrior and play mostly PvE. I’ve been doing a lot of Explorable Instances and am wondering, would it be better to go Knights gear with ax/shield to be more tanky, or stay in Zerkers with my dual wield (yeah, yeah, GS is king DPS, whatevs, I like a/a)? I like my DPS, but wonder if it would be better to be more tanky to help the group as a whole.

Any support a warrior does is typically in the form of boosting dps for the group. Stay in zerker. I’d recommend having a gs even if you tend to use aa more. Forceful greatsword is amazing.

Shield is used for its hard CC and Block in PvP/WvW. Neither Shield skill is useful in PvE. Being more tanky won’t necessarily help your group, but knowing how to avoid taking damage altogether via dodging and positioning will help.
