As of right now, I’ve been using Full Zerk on mostly all content including up to FotM 30 where I am now and random other content, however, I’m considering picking up a new set of Armor and Trinkets for a more supportive type Warrior for Shout/Banner Heals etc. And I’m wondering if i should just stick with the Zerker or maybe have something to switch to when i’m trying to familiarize myself with new content/dungeons/High FotM and get into those PuG’s where i’m the only heavy armor.

Also, if I were to get a set, what Armor stats/trinkets am I looking at?

It’s not worth it.
Here are some numbers and figures:
Lets assume both regen and shouts get 100% more powerful (meaning 1 healing power per 1 more healed) as heals increase. Lets also assume that you’re somehow a freak gearer and get 1223 healing power (which is pretty close or at max).

Shouts heal for about 1k alone. add our healing power and that’s ~2k.
Now lets use all utilities with shouts on short cooldowns(i.e. traited). 2 20seconds (FGJ and SiO) and one 25 sec (OMM).
add total cooldown time: 20+20+25 = 65 seconds.
Now how many of those can happen in 65 seconds? 65/20 = 3 (2*3=6 for FGJ and SiO) and 2 for OMM. That’s 8 total shouts (we can’t have a half shout). That means 2k*8 = 16k
Now lets find rough healing per second: 16000/65 = 246 Healin’/sec.
I have no healing power, and I know at max adrenaline I heal for 266 h/s roughly with healing surge. (8k/30sec)
What about allies? Let’s assume your allies are getting hit 1k per each hit every 1/2 second. That’s decent and like my sword critting well with its auto attack.
Remember our total time frame? It’s 65 seconds.
So total hits per time: 65/.5 OR 65*2 = 130 hits. 130*1k damage for 130,000 damage.
Remember the total healing? 16k. 16k – 130k = -114k
This means your teammates have died a couple of times at this point =(

Banners are in a similar problem but are better than shouts:
Lets assume everything as before (which is freakish for regen boon).
normal regen is about 200. So 1.4k every second because remember 100% of our healing power becomes healing. That’s easy healing/sec calculation.
Over 65 seconds like before that’s 91,000 healing.
91k – 130k = -39k. Better but your teammates are still kinda dead.

Now that’s if all those things came true. Banner has the trouble of its radius as well as moving it around. It cannot do burst healing. Shouts do burst healing but for not nearly enough. You’re much better off just staying ‘zerker since you can’t out healing in our timescale.

I have to admit, that I suck at math, but I think there´s something wrong with the
beginning of your calculations.

You´ve got 3 shouts, two with 20 seconds and one with the highest CD being 25 seconds, each with their own cooldown time.

That means the average cooldown time would be 22,5, let´s say 23 seconds.
You don´t add cooldown time with another shout.
Consequently, the healing is more effective, than you make it out to be.

With that being said, it´s all about the right ratio, in my opinion.
If you want to neglect every other aspect of your class to heal as
good as possible, then yes it´s worth it.

If you want to keep your offense and defense in mind, which I think everybody should, then no it´s not worth it.

Healing shouts are nice to take some pressure out of the fight, and the more healing power the better they heal, but you have to give up on other stats in order to do so
In the end you need to know if you want to sacrifice something and how much of it.
I personaly have healing shouts without any healing power and am happy to have
the extra healing provided by the trait alone.

To simplify what I want to bring across:

You have Damage, Defense and Utility, the more stat points you want to focus
on one of these, the less you´ve got for the other two, which could or could not be
a problem for you.

I run a shout warrior for a while now, I have healing shouts and runes of the soldier, while I love the build, I must admit, that specing in healing is worthless. You’ll never heal as much as guardian f.e. Healing shouts are great and they saved me in many situations, but I never noticed much of a difference weather I had 300 or 1k in my heal stat, it’s much better to invest into damage or toughness/vitality.

I have the body, legs, feet(these are exotic), amulet, ring, accessory(these are all ascended) as cleric. My shouts heal for just over 1900 when I’m running my hammer build in WvW(maxed line with the toughness/healing) and in PvE with my axe/axe shout my shouts will heal for a little over 1500.

In WvW, 1900 on a shout is quite useful. In PvE, 1500 is ok, works well enough. I also have a lot of toughness to mitigate incomming damage in WvW. PvE, anything that isn’t cleric is zerk. I don’t absorb quite as much and those little bits of heal can go a long way, especially when there is a lot of AOE spam and I can’t see what the boss is doing through all the other effects.

I liked it well enough in WvW to incorporate it into my PvE build. It all depends upon the player. Some will crunch numbers and say it is junk, others will ignore that and try it for themselves and find it to be useful.

Try it out and see for yourself. You do not need to have every piece of gear with healing to be effective.

I speak for my self and no one else. Only fools believe they speak for a majority.

mmmh, it is worth it.
In my shout build i have something around 1450 healingp, with the stacks bit over 1700. My shout heal without stacks something like 2500-2600( for some classes more, not sure why though maybe some self trait) and with stacks about 2900. Thats about 9k burst heal in a blink of an eye. Those maths of yours means nothing, its not about the healing overtime, its about the burst. The idea is that you have the allseeing eye, the eye that sees everyones current health, their situation, the damage they are about to take and you bring your effort to prevent them from getting downed, becouse when you do get downed there is really high change that that player will end up defeated and in worst case carry other players with him. As long as everyone is still kicking they are just fine and can regenerate their own health in normal situations.
And the shouts are not the whole thing, if you pick them the best thing you can do for the whole group is to make yourself full support, arming yourself with hammer/mace/horn/shield and using those to prevent your allies from taking those devastating hits. Thats where burst skills are in big role and your shouts will actually match perfectly for that cause by using inspiring shouts. The weakness you can provide is also priceless.

Out of topic i really wish they would increase the threat generation for those with high armor and who are near the mob and reduce it from the further ones. I find it ridicilous trying to “tank” a boss so melees could attack it and get it over fast but the boss instead choose to chase that freaking scepter running guardian and making the fight 3times longer…

Was better when it wasn’t capped to 5 targets. I tried it in knights gear with cleric amulets/rings and it was “ok”, I think guardians/ele are better at it, but if you run with a group of people who will peel people off you its can be fun, if you run solo expect to assist people then eat dirt

Ive not tried banner healing so no idea if it compares, I would be more interested in it though if there was an elite shout, but warriors are pretty much forced for signet of rage.
