Burst skill/Berserker mode clash- Whenever I want to go Berserker mode I end up using a Burst Skill, and both don’t synergize well, unless I spec for full condi or full zerk to make use of either primal or zerk respectively.

It’s interesting we can choose between Berserker Mode AND Burst skills, while Necromancers lose Death Shroud for Reaper Shroud and don’t have the option to use one or the other mid-fight.

I’d rather you remove Burst skills, and buff Berserker Mode/Primal Bursts, and make it work with 3 bars adrenaline. That way there is more synergy with the rest of the build, rather than trying to make Burst Skills and Berserker Mode work together, when both are used for separate build set ups.

Depending on my build, one is useless and the other is useful. Which explains Reapers ONLY have Reaper Shroud, because Death Shroud would be useless anyway because of lack of synergy with Elite traits/Elite utilities.

AND MAKE THE BERSERKER MODE BUTTON, INFRONT OF BURST SKILLS, not the other way around.

Condition builds- There is really no value in playing a full condi build, when other professions does condi it better, unsure about this personally.

Not too mention it adds sub-par replacements for power or tank base builds.

Fast Hands- THIS NEEDS TO BE BASELINE. Very difficult to build a decent build with Berserker traits without Discipline/Fast Hands. Very poor synergy because we need the fast weapon swaps while in berserker mode to be useful. Berserker mode ONLY lasts 15s, and without Fast Hands we can only switch every 10s.

Again, unless you buff Berserker Mode/Primal Bursts, cooldown and duration wise. Fast Hands is critical. Traits don’t synergy that well, I’d give it 6/10 in terms of synergy.

The Berserker has A LOT of POTENTIAL!! (Unlike Tempest), but it needs to COMMIT TO A PLAYSTYLE and make it AWESOME, right now it’s wishy washy mix

Yes, please put it on top or move it so Flurry does not hide it so much.

actually I agree with that. With berserker, I Want to lose the F1 mechanic. I didnt think that before, but sitting here… yea, as long as they make some baseline berserker fixes, yea, I Agree.

Totally agree with removing the normal burst skills.
My fav elite specs are reaper and dragonhunter, they both nicely lose baggage from the base class. And it would help the current messy UI (it’s both an issue of not seeing the F2 label, having the recharge partially hidden, and having to alternate between pressing F1 and F2 instead of having a single button).

After thinking about this more, I’m wondering if Berserker mode should just remove bursts entirely (no normal or primal burst available). Instead, while Berserker mode is active, it would get other stat buffs above and beyond what it gets now. Basically it could function something like rampage, but with a much shorter cooldown that is only accessible by first building up sufficient adrenaline. Also unlike Rampage, it would allow the warrior to keep their normal weapon bar.

Another option would be to have primal bursts actually be vastly superior to normal bursts, but using one would end the berserker mode sooner or possibly instantly. For example, maybe using a primal burst would cut the duration of berserk by 5 or more seconds, but the trade-off would be giving us an augmented burst (significantly higher dps and/or larger AoE and/or extra effects, etc). In no case would the burst change it’s AoE style to make it less effective (such as is the case with long bow primal burst vs a normal full adrenaline LB burst).

Some combination of these could also work, but in that case the extra buffs needed for the berserk mode or the augmented bursts wouldn’t need to be as high.

Please do not remove the normal burst skills, there is no problem with having the tactical option of when normal bursts are better and when one should go berserk and use the new types of burst…

The problem with the spec is that the specialization options are nearly all bad, not even close to the other warrior spec trees, the new utility abilities being very kitten poor and some new bursts needing a bit of rework.

I really hope they do not remove the normal bursts as a berserker, that would be insane <.<

Agreed, though the problem could be fixed by simply BUFFING the primal bursts. As it stands now they are hardly worth using over the normal ones. The damage decrease is too severe, flaming flurry is an utter joke and hammer primal is counter intuitive.
