Just about got enough karma to get an armour set from the temples in Orr but not sure what to get. Is it best to get a full set from one vendor like Balth or is it getter to get different pieces from different vendors e.g. power, tough, vit, stats for all pieces. All the runes will be different but you can always put others in instead. A full set does give a range of stats across the board and a full set of one rune type. Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts.

I don’t know of a warrior build that benefits from mixed stats. If you did get one full set you would likely end up with stats you don’t need (like condition damage if your GS) or too little of the stats you do need (like power).

I suggest you go to GW2Buildcraft and figure out what type of build you wan’t to run. The fact is you need to figure out the stats first before you even purchase a single piece of gear.

Also for rune sets from the temple you can always just purchase the sets off the AH. I think the most expensive among those sets right now would be lyssa and it roughly (won’t hold true forever) 13g for that set.

Full PVT stats can’t be attained from the Karma vendor alone. If I am not incorrect for the heavy set the helm is missing.

I would suggest that you get the set with Lyssa runes and transmute the skin and runes on to gear with stats of your choice. The mix stats just don’t help you in any way but because the armor is basically free I look at it as saving money on runes of lyssa which are good WvW runes for the condition wipe but can be pretty pricy and you’re getting a decent skin.

AC is your best bet. Do not waist badges on the armor unless you really love the look. Save your badges if you ever plan on going after your weapon.
