Guild Wars 2

I’m thinking about learning the mace/shield + GS power War build, and I’d like to get some tips on how to play it. Can anyone help me out?

You used to set up Hundred Blades with Skullcrack, but that’s not the case anymore. In fact, you almost never use the regular Mace burst anymore.

Build up adrenaline, get into Berserk mode, use burst skills, be indestructible.

It still stuns, even if you play Berserker. You just don’t use it anymore, because it’s too little reward for a high telegraph skill that dumps all adrenaline.

the first match is warrior v warrior, & there’s quite a few warriors in the tournament.

at base level, it’s ‘use stuns to land f1s’ but there is more nuance to the class. how you use the great sword is important, it’s got a lot of valuable evasion & mobility. like anything it’s very situational, but you are always going to want to be aggressive & burst heavily.

i’m playing mostly condi these days (multiple builds) but GS M/Sh with Destroyers Amulet is really strong & pretty straightforward to play.
