With these nerfs coming to the warrior class, we’re about to be thrown AGAIN under the bus as a probable easy kill in either PvP and in WvW. I remember early on in the game that warriors were very easy to pick on, almost every class especially engineers and thieves can wreck us very easily. When we received some love in further updates, we were called OP when really, we had to find other ways to kill opponents i.e. crowd control and utilizing combo finishers. So why nerf adrenaline to the ground when it’s one of the things that are a necessity when fighting classes with a higher skill cap such as engineers AND lo and behold, the thieves that you, Arena Net, are so proud of? It’s great that you’re buffing rifle and OFFhand axe. In reality though, no one ever uses those weapons in any pvp or wvw setting as they are EASILY interrupted unless you activate a stability buff. The rampage update was nice as it is one of the community’s neglected skill, but also since it is one of my favorite elites. But with all these NERFS coming to the warrior class. It WILL cause detrimental harm to our all around game play. The CONSEQUENCE of missing an adrenaline skill reducing it back to 0 (keep some if you have Burst Mastery) will play a huge role because if/when we do miss our burst skill, we’re basically easy pickings for the OTHER classes who’ve recieved minor nerfs and better buffs. Hey Arena Net, smell the coffee and wake up, if we have to face CONSEQUENCES in missing a skill, how about give the same fate to other classes. Like…idk, one of your most treasured classes, thieves? It’s like you all are biased and favor a class more than the other This game is the FIRST game I have played where a stealthed person does NOT become REVEALED when hit by a skill. The stealth in this game is way TOO OverPowerful and as such, thieves milk the cheese ouf of it by spamming skills like blinding powder followed by a heartsweeker. INSTANT STEALTH and while they are running off getting out of combat, therefore resetting the fight. We warriors will be slowly but surely, losing our adrenaline making us VERY vulnerable by one of their cheap backstabs. CONSEQUENCES like the one I’m pushing for may not come out for this Class “Balance” update, but please do keep it in mind that stealth in this game is B R O K E N. For those who reading this and disagree, play other games and see for yourself that once hit while stealthed, you are REVEALED. I would hope to see this change to be brought in-game soon. If not, it will be VERY apparent that you favor this class more so than the promises for the warrior class YOU made before release. But hey, that’s one more promise that was broken huh? Thanks for reading! Now time to stow my warrior in PvE land!

Oh and I can’t wait for the next update for the warrior class from Arena Net! Nerf cleansing ire so it gives less adrenaline Extend Signet of Fury cool down by another 10 seconds, nah, make it a minute more Burst Mastery? Delete the first feature and decrease the damage by 2%. Warrior’s done now, congratulations team! The adrenaline buff is by far, the biggest nerf you have all made to this class. Keep sinking the game more please! I’m getting tired of the crap anyways ^.^

Wow… the ignorance in this thread. Thieves black powder is being nerfed to hell and back with this coming update. No more will they be able to stand in their blind field, laughing at your “misses”.

That is true, but most thieves don’t stay in their blind field. The ones that do, want classes to burst down in their field so they make themselves easy picking for the thief to kill them. Most thieves heart seeker anyway from their blind field and run off ^.^ Then once your health is at a good threshold, you go in guns blazing with Infiltrator’s Signet and/or Steal. So yes, the nerf to blinding powder is a big hit to those that milk the cheese out of that weapon set. I have a thief as well and I despise it just at how easy it is to kill someone in 1v1s or pick off people in 1v3s. It’s disgusting Vomiting to the point where I completely ditched dagger/pistol to go back into dagger/dagger so it’s a little harder to kill opponents or to flee in fear of losing my stacks. Going back to what vespers said, I am silly and Arena Net won’t totally nerf thieves. This nerf for black powder is a small, significant yes, but small hit to the capabilities to what Arena Net’s baby class can do.

The QQ in this thread is ridiculous. I play a Warrior, not main, but I’ve had a good amount of time put into the class and I can say that the class is still a little OP compared to other classes.
On top of being super tanky while doing a good amount of DPS and CC, and then still have a kitten load of mobility, I can easily say this class is THE easiest to play.
In WvW or SPvP, how many classes can go full glass zerk and yet remain tanky while doing 10-12k burst on a relatively short cooldown? I’m talking about the axe’s F1.

The argument with Thief is that, unlike Warriors, a Thief has a higher skill floor than a Warrior. Sure, when a Thief is skilled he/she can be annoying, but a Warrior is just so easy to play and master. And once you know how to play against a Thief, it’s easy pickings. I can 1v1 a Thief no problem on a Ranger.

I think new warrior changes are good maybe more than good for me:

Signet of Might and Rage,Rampage,Rousing Resilience Trait,New Fierce Shot,Whirling Axe,Arcing Slice and more goes positive sides

-%5 damage reduce and adrelaine loss more than before is nothing to talk about so much.Warriors still will have a lot of adrenaline after balance.

You might be one of those people who plays shadow arts thief ,thinks he is good and thieves need nerf. Actually black powder nerf is huge for people who don’t use shadow arts and play the 26006 build.

Anyway arenanet doesn’t play their game , they nerfed every warrior build except Hambow lol. F1 longbow cannot miss so the Nerf is irrelevant .

as a non warrior, longbow should be the one that deserves to be changed, that and reduce warrior mobility the rest is sorta fine.

I don’t think people will be happy if their beloved “warriors run too much” plea becomes “too much cc, op” though.

Wow, I’d hate to see what would happen if your Disengages & Condition shedding ever got touched. Infact, I’d love to see the reactions of any GW2 warriors who were forced to play a Gw1 warrior which had neither condition shedding, nor instant teleports. …oddly enough, that’s exactly what I found so entertaining about mine in the long term and the reason it was my 2nd most played class for 6 years straight (next to Monk). :p

Who cares about that in the end I do not have much use for adrenaline and charges very fast and I use mostly greatsword and rifle but I need a explication and to say a problem can I still use whirlwind attack like a or better said the third greatsword skill like a dash and second why did you made rifle useless I use it when 80% of the time I need to dodge and the rest to damage and its very useful thanks to the bleed condition now its useless and I have to find another tactic with another range weapon.

I think that was the point. Warriors are more challenging for new players now while barely anything changes for decent warrior players. Besides that there’re finally consequences if you miss your burst ability/your opponent outplays you (except for that laughably low CD).

Good change imo. People will cry about nerfs no matter what though, doesn’t matter which profession.

Do you even play your warrior? You think this nerf will change anything? mm.. nope, it won’t for good players at least, on the other hand new players are going to be struggling to adapt to the new changes.

2000+ hours on Warrior and covered 100% of the game play types but most of it played in WvW (half zergin’/havoc and the other half roaming). I now only play my Warrior in sPvP or for the general LS updates since it’s the only character I have with full map completion/legendary – the real one and not the skin/full story completion/all dungeons/fractals/blah blah blah.

“Good” players can’t avoid a blind or an evade or an interrupt controlled by the opponent (all instant or near instant). In those cases, your Warrior just spent 100% of your Adrenaline bar for no effect.

No worries, you’ll see.

Now let’s hear your credentials and this will not significantly change the fundamental mechanical portion of any Warrior build.

Speaking from a zerk warriors position:

The constant barrage of nerfs are unbearable. The ferocity nerf hit warriors the hardest due to not being able to reach max out on all 3 damage points (power, precision, ferocity) (you can only max two as they are distributed between 3 different trait lines) which simultaneously buffed things like condi damage and necro death shroud(they’re so stupidly tanky now) as they weren’t brought down to make up for it. Then boon duration runes got nerfed killing builds with 100% signet of rage up time and yet now another 5 seconds are going to be shaved off so if you even dared trying to stack boon duration you’d end up with just the 30 seconds it used to be at while sacrificing so many crucial stats in exchange. But wait there’s more; now adrenaline is receiving not one but TWO nerfs at the same time while simultaneously buffing all the other classes?
The first essentially cuts warrior damage by over half as you can’t start a fight with a burst skill with adrenaline from a previous fight then use an adrenaline filling move (berserker stance, sigent of fury) and burst again because who needs planning and forethought right? The second is plain ridiculous do you know how many things in this game can waste your adrenaline with this change? blind, block, evade, range, out of range bug, invulns, moving. It’s going to require sheer luck to land a burst. I can’t even move to interrupt my own kill shot anymore and conserve my adrenaline when I see it’s not going to land because who needs a higher skill cap right? Congratulations on nerfing the only class who can’t beat other classes 1v1 (assuming there’s no skill difference between players) and are only top dog in pve (where the ai is abysmal) into oblivion; mesmer, necro, guard, thief, even ranger all take a dump on a warriors face. We’re now pigeon holed into hammer/shout train banner bots because who needs options right?
