mending needs to be a physical skill and heal more with more adrenaline 30%, and go back to removing 3 condis.

Taking it in isolation, sure, it looks like we need a heal buff to equal rangers. But, overall, I find rangers have less going for them than warriors. I could be wrong as I don’t have a ranger, but I’ve sure squashed a lot of them with my warrior.
Comparing warrior heals against each other is way easier though, and HS obviously dominates.

Warrior gets the extra passive healing from addrenaline and has more armor than ranger.
In theory I like HS because the healing begins as soon as you take damage.
Look at it this way, to get the theoretical heal per second out of an active heal you need to wait however long it takes to take all that damage. For example if it heals for 6k you need to actually take 6k damage before you can get the full heal. If it takes 30 seconds before you take 6k damage you have to take that into account for your sustain. In 30 seconds, HS would have healed you for 362*30 = 10,860. So as long as you’re using active defense to avoid damage and only taking small amounts of damage over time you will get a lot more sustain from a passive regen like HS compared to active heals.
From a WvW aspect no matter how heal works we are totally screwed against certain classes/builds.
Earlier I met a a pair of players (an Engi and an Ele) in WvW. According to combat log the Engi alone, stacked so many Burns that ticked for 5.8k/sec. Well, it ticked 3 times so in a matter of 3secs I was dead. The battle may have took me 10-15 secs and I wonder how I managed to stay alive for that long…
Receiving ~17.5k in a matter of 3 secs solely from a single player’s burning (No need to mention the bleed and confusion…) means you can’t prevent this for long as any condi cleansing skill or resistance skill has a CD longer that most skills and I can’t think of any way to heal yourself for such amounts of damage delivered so fast.
So, discussing the healing effectiveness in such an environment is like discussing if a boolet-proof vest will protect you against direct artillery shell hit!
I am well aware that game has other similar issues (DPS warrs can one-shot some professions given the right circumstances) but the ones that came with recent patch are over the top and any reasonable healing can’t help in fixing things.
