Level 80 Bow Warrior Stats AND Build
Since the bow has some real nice Condition Damage to it, and can be swapped out with a Sword/ >shield or horn<, which the Sword also ticks some great Condition Dmg, go with +Cond armor and stats that improve your bow play and swap ability plus’s.
Look up some Cond builds.
Heavy Halo, Warrior JQ
Here is a build I’ve seen used before… http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fIMQNAscTjkOxwpQuQMxBE0DN8LqiLjkYJ0HwDA-jECBYhERj0CgUFRj8II5QFRjtaqIasqbY6YER1SBAx0I-w
The idea with it is to apply a ton of bleeds as well as torment and burning to your foe while also being very damage resilient with high toughness, healing signet, and the various stances. As such, you should be able to serve as a tank of some sorts in dungeons, although going for a power based build might be a better option if you’re looking for PvE damage.
I wrote the build in the WvW mode, although I’m not sure it will be that good in that format. The build is quite slow, although this can be mitigated by swapping in warrior’s sprint. It also doesn’t have the popular condition reduction runes and food that are very common in WvW. However, I’ve seen this build used in sPvP to great effect, and it should work just fine in PvE content (especially fractals). You could possibly also swap out dogged march in PvE for something like spiked armor or defy pain since the benefits provided by dogged march aren’t as relevant in PvE. Last stand would also be a decent choice in some cases, such as harpy fractal.
Of course, this build does work best when you switch between your bow and dual swords. In fact, I’d say the build’s default weapon set would be the dual swords, although the bow is still very handy. Combustive shot is good AoE condition damage and procs cleansing ire very nicely, and the explosive shot can be used on top of it for some AoE direct damage and AoE might due to the blast finish. Then pin down can be used to proc the fury from the oppotunist trait, which allows you to get close and swap to swords for extra bleeds from the geomancy sigil. The you just work on them with the swords, applying lots of bleeds and torment. It even comes with a handy blocking ability.
So yeah. If you wanted to test it out, all the stuff is available in the sPvP mode to try. I’m not as familiar with the power based longbow builds, but I’ve been on the receiving end of a 9k explosive shot before.
EDIT: I just noticed the tooltips for the sword auto attack on that build on the website are reporting 15.5 seconds of bleeding each hit… that’s a bit “O_O”…
