Hello Warrior (and GW2) Community!

I have been level 80 for a bit now. I seem to be at a bit of a loss as to where to go from here. If you will indulge me I have a few questions.

What would be the best way for me to farm the materials needed for the Ascended Weapons?

Do you recommend I Fractal grind? And if so where do I obtain Agony Resistance gear?

I have noticed for PvE end-game most Warriors use a Greatsword, but are the other options such as Greathammer viable?

And any advice for a Warrior looking to get pretty hardcore into the end-game would be appreciated. Thanks for reading and thanks for the replies!

Cof p1 + events is probably the easiest way to go for ascended weapons.

And from what i understand most weapons are viable.
Gsword offers great mobility, decent dps and one of the highest dmg skills ingame
Axe offers best dps but lacks mobility
Sword is great for conditions
Mace/Hammer are designed for more supportive/defencive rolls; lots of CC
And both ranged weapons are good depending on situation although like most ranged sets lack dps when compared to melee.
As for offhands they seem to all have their uses cept for axe which only offers fury(easily obtained elsewhere) and a weakish dps aoe(atleast compared to AA)

Left out warhorn for partywide swiftness/vigor as well as curing conditions that impair movement. Shield is great for trash runs such as those required in TA and Arah, also quite useful in WvW. Mace offhand is great for vuln stacking and CC (knockdown) which most wars forget has 1200 range, greater than bow autoattack and skills unless traited right. As far as ranged weps go, I recently learned bow>rifle for DPS in literally all cases, the utilities are also better.
