so im new to gw2 and want to roll a warrior, but before i do i was wondering about stats on items, im going to use axe/axe till level 30 then GS for level 30+, what stats should i try to get on my Axes, GS and Armor while leveling. And should i make my weapons or just buy them on the trade post? also i looked on the trade post and saw these axes called – steam, glyphic and shiverpeak. And Greatswords called – Zweihander, Great steamblade and glyphic longblade. are the weapons worth buying at all or should i just stick to normal (…..) greatswords.

Personally I would just use greens for levleing. I just picked up the best I could about every 10 levles, get strong gear and put all of your points in the precision tree. Take the trait that gives you 40 precision per signet and run all sigents an your utility slots.

You will be able to facetank and melt everthing. I just got my warrior to 80 yesterday and it was by far the easiest fastest to level.

Just buy the cheapest green gear on the TP, it is super cheap if you buy greens, usually just above vendoring price like < 2 silver, you will be replacing this gear regularly and it does not make sense to pay a lot for it. If you want to make it that will help you level faster by crafting. The names of the items are just different looks, just look for power\precision for stats on items. A/A and GS are good for leveling, You may also want a ranged weapon on hand (Rifle for single target and longbow for a bit of AoE)

As long as you got the 40 precision trait, you will be fine. Every 5 or 10 levels (depending on how much money you got), search the trade post for cheap upgrades. There are tons of them. Just go with all power if you do not plan to WvW. You will kill so fast, health isn’t an issue.

If you want to WvW, get the karma invader stuff and switch gear. You will need toughness and health which means you won’t have much attack power. Zerg it. With the gap widening more and more between level 80 and non level 80’s, you won’t do much solo unless it is another non 80.
