I think dead builds are

1. Condi builds since direct dmg output is so high now and torment got nerfed long time ago. (it was already dead long time ago)

2. Any shout builds becuz healing amount now is so small that cannot endure currently increased overall dmg output. Personally i think even guardian bunker is also dead simply because of overally increased pressure.

is there anything else? What do you think?

I’ve been roaming a bit with a standard condition build, not really trying to optimize it, but rather getting a feeling of how it’d work. While the build did not have the condi burst capacity I’ve met in other classes, it was pretty solid and efficient, to the point of letting me win a few 1v2. It was still weaker than my former equivalent build though, and the associated gameplay is a bit slow, definitely not comparable to the thrill of playing Berserker.

Condition builds have gained some potential thanks to Body Blow, so I’d like to test the following when I have time:

… also with a variation swapping the Runes of Perplexity with the Runes of the Guardian.

Was it cheesy? as long as i know it didnt be able to kill either. Then i hope anet just get rid of all heal and add more offensive buffs rather than killing it.

Shoutbow warrior is definitely has clearly less sustain now. Shout heals were nerfed about 30%. Traited warhorn no longer converts conditions into boons and the vigor and swiftness uptime was warhorn was also nerfed. All these together plus clearly increased DPS all over the board has been a huge blow to shoutbow.

I wouldn’t say that shoutbow is no longer viable at all, but it is clearly pushed out of the meta. It cannot handle the current bursts well nor even clean all the conditions flying around. Bunker guardian can tank better. Currently bunker guardian > shoutbow. Shoutbow does way too little dmg for pve to make any sense there. Hammer+Sw/Wh or Hammer/GS warrior has always been the meta in WvWvW zerging. And I think hammer/GS just got stronger, so it is not difficult see where meta will be going.

is it possilble to use hammer/gs in wvw? I think they fight in frontline cuz it is full melee but I also guess they would be first one who dies and hit less people than ranged weapon, which is not a proper build set for person who want to archive Ultimate Dominator title.

I have often seen hammer/GS in both zerging and roaming. So it is definitely a very common warrior setup in WvWvW in EU top tiers (and has been already long time before this patch).

If you want to achieve ultimate dominator title, then there are better choices:
play a staff shout guardian, staff + well necromancer etc. Guardian staff #1 is perfect for tagging a lot of loot bags. Mesmer has traditionally been probably the worst profession to achieve ultimate dominator title.
