Remember those days when long bow use to be good… i don’t but i still read ppl talking about. So basically here are the problems:

Dual shot: is by far the worst auto attack in game, don’t talk to me about the useless piece of kitten trait “burning arrows” because is just kitten.

Fan of fire: for this skill to be DECENT it has to be in a “0” range cause if you dont hit with the 3 arrows u wasted ur skill.

Arcing Arrow: Well u can get a “blast” out of it…

smoldering arrows: … no comments…

Pin Down: this skill use to be great.. now everybody can easily dodge it.

Now we know the worst two handed weapon for warrior’s is the long bow but why does it has to be this way?
Why are we still big pieces of kitten compare to reapers, druids, scrappers, etc..
Tell kitten WHY?!.

Longbow was the best weapon for almost 3years because it did good dps and even without condidmg you did good burning dmg till they nerfed buning (something that was needed for buning in general) and then the powercreep from HoT came and made the longbow less usefull.

But nothing has changed really on longbow
-Dual shot is the best auto attack because of 2x adrenaline.. This is the reason its good
-fan of fire used to do allot of dmg because of the old burning
-Arcing arror is still very good
-smoldering, whats wrong with that? Instant blind! Dude this is very good
-pin down, sure longer casttime but stil very good.

Sorry but longbow issnt that bad, you just get used to the powercreep of others

longbow is a melee weapon with aoe and range option…

longbow is bad now, because everybody has way higher sustain and damage and everything..you die way too fast with longbow, even if you go range, people can engage you super fast with their awesome gap closers and a lot of class got projectil blocks since hot update, or just attack you with their superior range attacks…so people go gs/axeshield for evade blocks, or mace/sword sword/shield for more blocks just so people can stay alive…

I still kinda wish they would revert the Combustive Shot nerf though, bring the ticks back to 1 second and bring a bit of the damage back.

I still remember the massive facepalm when they responded to the nerf that it was because “the damage ticks were gaining too much adrenaline” when the skill never gained adrenaline from the ticks in the first place (it was from the Furious trait which gave adren on crits)

Way back then, I thought they guys didn’t even play their own game, now though….I still think the same.

WvW is not Spvp and you struggled hard despite winning. The bow made you struggle. Also 1v1s don’t mean anything especially vs wvw players who are generally bad but think they are good. Lastly shout heal condi warrior is a strong build but its also a very weak build in terms of offense. You pretty much have to hope your opponent has no sustain, does, low damage and makes a ton of mistakes to win.

I didnt knew this topic was about pvp only. Ofcourse the bow makes me struggle. Its slow as hell. You said 1v1 doesnt mean a thing VS wvw players. But when I slay people in pvp its suddenly have a meaning? xd you have allot of noobs in pvp aswell. People that achieved dragon finisher and legendary icon think they can beat everything x Im sure you faced those allot aswell, anyway I Im that kind of roamer that roams with tons of builds. I dont like to run what everyone runs. Thats boring. Ofcourse every build has its weakness. You are right about me hoping that my enemy dont have massive burst. High dps burst is a weakness for that build. Some high burst I can handle better then other high burst. VS thiefs its oke. VS beserker warriors I get recked. If you see the people in the vid I do fight some that have allot of sustain to, so what you said about hoping that my enemy dont have allot of sustain is not correct. But yeah, that vid was more to share 1 of my roaming builds I have fun with, and to make a point that longbow is not weak thats all. Im still hoping on a apothecary amulet in pvp one Day.

doesnt matter, shoutbow has no sustain in team fight even if you can some how win 1v1 with this build

For me it would matter, sins I like to duel in pvp. Butyeah, it would help allot If they reverse the shoutheal nerf If you talking about teamfights

Hé saying: The build is weak in terms of offense, cause you have to hope your enemy has no sustain (you can pown cele druïds with this build) and low damage (thiefs and mesmers are having low damage now?) and hoping that the enemy makes a ton of mistakens in order to win (yeah whatever xd)
