Longbow got nerfed - not buffed

This change has been a massive nerf to Longbow, and the best part is that they didn’t really even touch Longbow directly with anything.
Exactly the same story as with the stability change, someone at Anet getting paid the big bucks for figuring how to mess up warriors without making it too obvious.
Interesting, you are correct sir. And it appears to be a significant nerf.
You are potentially forgetting something:
Burning Arrows: Reduces recharge of longbow skills by 20%. Dual Shot inflicts 2 stacks of burning for 1 second
Powerful Synergy: Whenever you activate a leap finisher it activates twice.
So with a Sword and LB and using the leap finisher you will be able to stack an impressive amount of burning. Will this see use? Don’t know. However, it seems that the devs want to encourage you specing into your weapons. Maybe you could make a condi build with Arms – Tactics – Discipline, or Arms -Tactics – Defense (loss of weapon swap CD might hurt less, who knows), or a more defensive Defense-Tactics – Discipline.

I’m not sure how hard not having Fast Hands would be but we’ll see. Chances are our Elite spec is going to have 10 second weapon swap since it overrides Discipline I believe. Out of all the changes the Warrior has gotten the most interesting imo. The new options may not be meta but they’ll offer some fun at least.

It is, but I guess they wanna force some real choices for once. I bet it’s to balance out the new Double Shout Regen Banner. I guess they wanna nerf it while not making it useless.

I keep hearing people saying longbow got buffed. Sure, they restored the range back to 1200 and increased the durations of the burning skills. But damage-wise, the increased durations do NOT make up for the the new design that 1 stack of burning is less than half the damage of 1 stack in the live version. This holds for the 700 condi damage break-even point, too (live = 503/s and new = 240/s). Sure, it stacks in intensity now. But the net effect is a burning damage nerf for Warrior. Note, for other classes, a single skill now applies 2 or 3 stacks of burning.
When the game came out LB base range was 900. Unless you traited for it then it became 1200. Later on they made it 1000 baseline.
I don’t understand what you are even talking about they said nothing about a physical damage change of the LB. Before when the game came out pin down did not apply bleeding it only applied immobilize alone and it was instant cast and broken.
They Nerfed the F1 fire feild so that it did 1 less extra tick of physical damage for no reason and left the burning damage alone because some noob told anet that it made cleansing ire build adrin faster.
The slightly toned down combustive shot. Other than that no other changes were made to the bow.
When game came out if you traited for bow it was a 100% projectile finisher but that was a bug and broken. Please learn about the history of the game before you try to spit knowledge to people that been around since day 1.
Currently no one even takes long bow traits hardly. People that use LB in PVP dont even use it for the condi damage as much as the physical aspect of it and its synergy with cleansing ire.
If you hit someone with fan of fire it will be 3 stacks of burning which is more dammage than it does now lol. And since firefield pulses you will be able to have multiple stacks of burning on people no problem. Which is more damage than it does now.
You are also forgetting projectile finishers also cause burning damage when shot through your own fire field.
TLDR version
Your firefield pulses and will add multiple burning stacks on its own. You then can shoot through it and create more burning stacks with projectile finishers. And your basica atacks apply burning. Fan of fire point blank is at least 3 stacks. Warrior will have no problem saturating the burning stack cap on his own.
