Looking for Warrior bunker build
Heya.
Meta: http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_Shoutbow
It’s not bunker in the old sense, but very effective point holder.
And yes, you really need weapons for pvp, but stats does not matter – it’s may be “white” crap (just with cool skin).
Sorry for my english
if you look for 100% bunking warrior build, visit my twtich address below and get cele shout sword and warhorn build (get teamq one becuz you will go bunkeric war). But lose celestial amulet but put settler amulet instead. also, lose reckless dodge at power trait and put 5 point into defense trait to obtain armored attack. and for sigil, i recommend geomancy that bleeds(this dmgs 2000), sigle of intell that crits(or burst sigil) at sword and warhorn, put battle sigil and energy for longbow.
But i would say this 100% bunker war isnt that as efficient as guardian bunker. if you want pro pure bunker, go guardian bunker. warrior bunker is like, bunker who can do some damages. anet made warrior machanism like this so there isnt a way to become full pro bunker for warrior.
Thanks a lot for the tips. I will look into it.
Guardian bunker sounds nice, but I don’t even have a guardian. But maybe this will change.
02660 signet+stance warrior with axe-shield and axe-warhorn, runes of the grove, sigil of renewal and sigil of water.
Is what I use. Its decent but its bunkering ability has a hard cap. Once you get into the rotation of dodging, blocking and stunning with shield + weakening for the time inbetween you should be able to bunker on a point for a looooong time.

It’d be better to lose tactics banner, grab toughness banner. You’re traited for Regen on banners, since Tactics is a regen banner..Picking toughness would give you a bigger boost in being a tank, 170/170 tough – vital + The regen going from IBS.

Tactics banner gives you boon duration for vigor (wh being the easiest one) and healing power AND has a decent heal/regen vs kb. As a bunker warrior you should already have a ton of toughness, the HoT is going to pay off more than an equivalent amount of toughness and a skill that can be ignored by many things.

Really, the Toughness banner in this situation is a better choise.Grabbing tactics will grant you regen ( the added boon duration is off no effect to a “bunker” ),the heal power isnt worth it over 170 toughness + 170 vital either.Grab toughness and you get Regen + toughness + Vital…It should be an obvious choise.

Depends on how you run such “bunker”. Seems like you and I have different approaches to it.
If you add vigor to the build boon duration is helping, this also means allies that come along and use any of their boons are getting better some of which are actually good (protection, stability mostly). You’re not getting a whole lot of return on 1.7k health and a few toughness when you should already be over 3k armor. There is a stronger return for addressing your healing power and keeping everyone around you alive than increasing their and toughness and health.
Also if you use the tactics banner #2, I’ve had allies run to another objective and I still see them regenerating for a real long time (I have a lot of boon duration on my build) which means you’re assisting from a distance rather than forcing someone to hug the banner circle.
Again, that is just how I’ve run warrior “bunker”. Real hard to kill and assistance from a distance.

Here’s the warrior bunker build that I have used. I created it myself a while ago, and I’ve never seen anyone else using it. It’s a little similar to the shout bow meta build that’s popular now, though.
Mace/warhorn + rifle. Soldier amulet. Shouts. Runes of the Soldier.
It’s very hard to kill because it has a ton of toughness and vitality. It also has a lot of condition clearing with warhorn, shouts, and Cleansing Ire. It also has vigor, weakness, reduction on movement impairing effects, a block, and some interrupts. I can often survive against multiple enemies on me for a long time.
It provides support to allies with the condition clearing and with healing shouts. It’s also really good at reviving allies. I can tank a lot of body cleave while I revive at an increased speed. I have a few tools to get people off of a downed body in case they are stomping or cleaving without stability: mace #3, mace burst, rifle #5, and Fear Me. I can also use all of these abilities to slow down enemies trying to revive another enemy.
It doesn’t do a ton of damage, obviously, but it does have a decent amount. I chose to focus only on power, so I’m mostly ignoring precision, ferocity, and condition damage. The mace does a decent amount of damage, but it’s not going to bring anyone down very fast. If I want to do more damage and I don’t need as many defensive abilities, I switch to rifle. The first option is the Kill Shot after swap which can do a lot of damage. The rifle #3 also does quite a bit of damage after a swap, and I can use rifle #5 to knock someone down when they are close to dying. I think this bunker build has more burst than other bunker builds that I know of because of the focus on power and the rifle.
I chose to keep Signet of Rage over Battle Standard because the adrenaline gain is really noticeable, and I like to have more burst abilities and more health regeneration from adrenaline with Adrenal Health. I’m just not a fan of Battle Standard, but I think it would be a decent choice to use with this build as well.
I generally go to the middle point and help sustain that fight. If we win it, I will stick near the mid point most of the time, but I’ll sometimes run to roads or side points to help turn around a fight or revive an ally.
If anyone tries it out, I’d love to know what people think. People have always laughed at me for using uncommon weapons, but I think this build is pretty good. I love to play it.

Actually one should go with the Banner of Strength for the more condition damage, but I prefer Tactics with the boon duration to max out the retaliation and might stacking.
If you really want a true bunker build I would run 0 0 4 6 4 in traits, taking
Dogged March, Cleansing Ire,
Lung Capacity, Quick Breathing, Vigorous Shouts,
Warrior’s Sprint and Destruction of the Empowered.
This is a very popular WvW build but it works in sPvP too – it’s what the most popular Meta Warrior build is based off. You run either Celestial amulet for more damage, or Soldier’s for more tankiness. With the Rune of the Soldier.
For slot skills, take For Great Justice, Shake it Off, and Dolyak Signet (gives you stability when you activate it).
This build is good, but honestly, if you want to Bunker, play Guardian. They are the best bunker class by a significant margin.
Drunken Alliance [DKAL]
Piken Square [EU]
@the baws: disci traits should be adrenaline on using shout and mobile strikes. Except if you dont have a warhorn, maybe you need to resort to warriors sprint. (but who in their right mind would not use warhorn on a bunker..)
how to properly smash someone with this build: firefield -> pindown -> fire fan (or smoldering if you expect CC) -> switch to sword -> leap to target -> swing 1-2 times for 1 bar of adrenaline or use a shout if you running out of time (FGJ) -> flurry -> final thrust -> GG.
and to set up all this jazz properly you could use fear me instead of dolyak signet but yeah no stability = better have someone to stomp all the folks you put to downed state. in solo roaming in wvw fear me is a better choice though since there is an almost endless amount of cliffs :> however in team setups you probably dont want to miss that stab and should take signet mastery over mobile strikes probably.
Its also possible to only put 3 points in disci and 1 into arms instead for +50% bleeding duration, especially for settlers amulet users.

They were at release not any more.

I agree, to an extent.
A condition based class would rip a guardian to shreds, where-as a bunker specced warrior would probably have an easier time with them.
