The purpose of the build is to act as a hammer-cc/aoe damage-dealer with the influx of the longbow’s aoe potential, having toughness enough to take damage effectively.

  • Aiming for a high crit chance, always keeping bleeds up and gaining 10% damage bonus for that.
  • Applying vulnerability and bleeds regularly and having long duration bleeds.
  • Using the high crit chance to quickly accumulate adrenaline
  • Using constantly high adrenaline to regenerate health frequently, supported by toughness to be viable in melee
  • Being able to weapon swap frequently between longbow and hammer to empty all cooldowns and suit for the situation.

The discipline major trait can be Inspiring Shouts if shout abilities are chosen utility skills, Sweet Revenge if there are adds enough to easily rally during Vengeance, Thrill of the Kill if fighting a lot of enemies without really risking death, and Warrior’s Sprint for whenever some additional running speed is required.

I haven’t entirely decided on runes yet, I’m only level 60 so I’m not that experienced.
Any constructive criticism or suggestions are welcome! Please respond =)

Why don’t you try the build out yourself and tell us what you find. It is so easy to try out different builds in this game.

I’m incredibly skeptical of Longbow ever working out in sPvP, even the noobiest of noobs will be able to dodge a majority of Longbow attacks. The weapon is mostly made for WvW where zergs have to either stay in the Longbow AoEs to sustain their push, or retreat.

Hammers do not take advantage of a Crit+Condition damage build due to their low attack speed. You are better off going with a Power build if you want to use a hammer. Otherwise switch out Hammer for a higher attack speed weapon, ideally sword because their auto attacks already add one stack of bleed, if crit that will be x2 bleed stacks.
