Looking to make a new warrior
Just want to ask a few questions, was considering making a warrior to roam and dungeon with.
1. How viable is the warrior’s rifle in wvw?
2. Is it better to build power or condition
3. There are alot of people claiming warriors are a bit weak compared to other classes in pvp , I just want to hear what warrior players stance on this matter is.Also, how well does a zerker warrior fare in an organized zerg if you don’t run a shout/ banner build?
1. It is not as viable as you would want it to be. You can not fight outnumbere with it as you have no defense on the weapon. However, it is incredibly fun to play full zerk. Look up Vaanss’ channel, he has some good examples.
2. It is better to build power. Condition is worthless in zergs and PvE. It is very strong in 1v1, and quite strong in 1v2 also, but you will have mediocre mobility, and other classes do condi specs a lot better.
Besides, condi is boring and stupidly easy.
3. My stance on this is balanced, pun intended. Warrior has a very good spec in PvP called Shoutbow. However, most warriors are upset with the fact that it is pretty much our only viable high level PvP spec right now. Like condi, it is also easy and a bit boring, so I myself tend to stay away from such levels of PvP.
4. Destroyer warrior (Axe+GS) does alright I guess. Still, thieves fill that role better as they can blink in and out and dish out similar damage, while retaining utility (Stealth). Destroyer warrior is very selfish.
Hulk Roaming Montages/Build Vids
I always rage but never quit.
1. There is one gimmick build using the rifle to get 10k+ crits with Kill Shot. Which can be dodged. So I wouldn’t really call it viable.
2. For dungeons clearly power, for roaming condi Warrior is decent, but power is more popular. Our best “mobility” weapon, greatsword is strictly power based, and its one of the best weapons for roaming.
3. Most people are whiners. Warriors are fine, although in most game modes they tend to play a supportive role (banner build for dungeons, shoutbow for SPvP, shoutheal for zerging), which makes a few people sad. We are good for roaming, a bit “forced” to use the GS though.
You might be part of the focus group with thieves etc. if your guild runs one, but going straight into a zergfight will be tough, and you might end up as a rallybot. You should consider getting the shoutheal build, its surprisingly fun. I even know a few guys who run it in full zerker in a zerg, but I don’t recommend that, unless you are REALLY experienced.

Hey Weo Weo.
As promised in game-chat here is the link for my GS/Rifle Warrior build I use in WvW roaming. Hits like a truck with 100% crit chance (with fury up) and has good sustain.
You can achieve decent results with this build in outnumbered fights. I swap out signet of fury for signet of might as needed (against Guardians and Thieves for example). A good trick is to bait out defensive skills and dodges with KillShot and cancel out with stow weapon.
When fighting good Rangers & GS / Hammer Warriors i’ll use Doylak Signet for extra stability (instead of having Signet of Fury or Might equipped).
I run this on the smallest sized Asura so it’s much harder to see telegraphed Warrior skills. GS is used for it’s positioning ability and they key to success is to kite, kite, kite your enemy.
Extra sustain is gained through Leeching Sigil and Omnomberry Ghost.

Have fun !

Asura Warrior FASup mang ! Fought you yesterday on SoS boderlands ( i was the condi engi). That air/fire sigil combo was nasty
Ah that was you? It was a good fight I must say! To be honest I was a bit scared of you as a medi guardian haha, good heavy condi’s shut me down hard
So here is what I can say on this.
1. Completely viable for roaming and outnumbered fighting IF you run stances. It takes some effort to make it work but can be very beneficial if you pull it off (KS 12 k while having 3k armor and 27k health is awesome)
2. I see power for war as more viable. You can be good with Condi I just think it is lame on war.
3. Compeltly disagree. Warriors seem weak because to reach the upper echelon of players it takes more effort. It is easy to become decent/good, than to become really good is really hard because they are fairly predictable, but they can still be very good.
Just my opinions, flame at me if you want, idgaf
You can always create condi damage. I put only 2 traitpoints in arms and thats it.
The mightstacking will give me more condi power aswell for the guardstacks.
I only care about Power, Precision, Toughness, and Ferocity. The condi is just for extra pressure but not my mainsource of power. Everyone has his own style of playing.
See here an example

You see my stats ingame on the bodem of the left of the vid.
Its not even that i gain allot of condi damage, but its enough to give the needed pressure.
