I know, they suck, blah blah, they are not any good, your an idiot for trying anything other than 100 blades/killshot.

Now that all the whining is out of the way, I am looking for some serious input into what abilities are must haves for a bunker warrior. I have seen it work well, and I am curious as to what abilities are a must for the class.

Any help would be wonderful to help me start out and learn about the defensive aspects of the class so that I can begin contributing to the class in the future

Interesting choices with electing to use pure banners. Any reason why you elected to pass up the hammer CD reduction?

I would honestly prefer cleansing ire and dogged marching than hammer cd reduction when it comes to bunkering. It gives more survivability. You gain more andrenaline when you are hit, and you need andreneline to increase regeneration. Plus you can remove 1-3 condi depending how much andreneline you have, when using a burst skill.
