Hey guys, I haven’t touched my warrior since HoT launched. So I know very, very little about berserker. But I miss playing him, so I had some questions.

I have berserker stat gear, with hoelbrach runes, axe/sh GS. I’d like to continue playing this type of build.

Shinryuku had this wonderful fight on his stream, and I wanted to know fi you guys could figure out which triat lines he dropped for berserker, and give me some tips/tricks for the new berserker mechanics. Like, at one point does he not to the axe adrenaline ability right into the GS one? what’s that all about?

I’m guessing you mean what he did to that Necro?

If I’m not looking at it wrong, he used Headbutt + Outrage to break the self stun, went into berserk to activate the taunt trait, then popped axe primal burst, switched to GS and 100bladed the necro into oblivion.

From the weapon swap time, the GS #3 removing the immobilize, the condis being cleansed on weapon swap and the extra quickness it’s very clear that he was running Discipline with Warrior’s sprint, brawler’s recovery and heightened focus.

Judging by the fact that he was gaining might on block and the 2500 heal when he used Outrage, the second spec slot is most probably defense with Shield Mastery, Defy Pain and Rousing Resilience.

For Berserker he was definitely running Smash Brawler, Blood Reaction and Bloody Roar. He could’ve had Dead or Alive instead of Blood Reaction though – even if Dead or Alive isn’t really great.

Couldn’t really say too much on the gear or runes honestly.

He also put out a video about how terrible warrior currently is. The issue with WvW video’s is you can’t account for how good the opponent is. Those guys simply looked liked they were there for capturing. The fact they had no food buffs kinda highlights they weren’t expecting any PvP.
If you’re wanting to play warrior, then go for it. However if you’re after some solid PvP, then pretty much every other profession has more to offer. Despite the addition of berserker I can say with certainty that even though I cant see his build, I already know what 99% of the traits will be. Warrior is just plain boring at the moment in terms of what diversity it has.
