ok before you rag on me for being a noob etc… I have quite a bit of experience with many different MMO’s.

My question is do other people have survivability issues at low level (around 10).

For example in Breaking the Blade (Human) where you have to kill Doc Howler before Two Blade Pete. I think I had to do this 3 or 4 times and had to finish him off why down. Died like 3 times. I tried quite a few different weapons.

I also died taking on 2 level 11 boars while level 10. Now that I have my first trait it seemed to help but just wondering how bad I stink!

I have no problems as a guardian, necro and too early to tell on mesmer but maybe might have some problems with mesmers multi mob.

Boars are surprisingly hard at low level

Warriors at very low levels have poor defense (usually missing head and shoulder armour). They “tank” by being able to take the blows and have very few escape mechanisms, especially at low level. Ensure you’re always keeping your gear up to date (defense rating is the most important, then DPS stats). A few more levels and you’ll start plowing through the mobs. You really do want DPS gear as well, as the high damage combined with higher hitpoints and armour will give you a much reduced downtime.

Personal story is not a good indicator of class survivability, the missions have massive difficulty spikes.

Get Signet of Healing. Enjoy not taking any damage from regular mobs. Not exaggerating much.

I think I recently got signet of healing and it did make a difference. Good to know on the personal story and boars.

If you want something that feels a bit over powered at low levels, Try a GS/axe+axe combo. PVE mobs will melt before your fury.
