I want to know how warriors can just stand by and not be more vocal about this GAME BREAKING TERRIBLE change for power warriors. I am not even close to a warrior main…. but this NEEDS to be discussed more.

HOW. can we possibly be okay with..
GS 3,5
axe f1
sword 2
hammer f1
shield 4
rampage’s 2,3,5
physical skills

and w/e else all being completely trash and useless with quickness…

On an Axe shield/GS Ramp build that is 7 out of your 17 weapon skills including rampage DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH QUICKNESS?!
We have a GRANDMASTER TRAIT for HIGH QUICKNESS UPTIME that is now USELESS on half our weapons?! Once again, are warriors seriously okay with this?

Greatsword was soooo good, the reliable quickness whirlwind was fight changing to say the least. but…. there is literally 0 point to run power warrior at the moment.

Also Rampage duration and cd should be reverted pre nerf, to compete with all the power creep of new specializations.

Heartseeker: This skill is now able to be affected by quickness and slow.
Weakening Charge: This skill is now able to be affected by quickness and slow.

Power Warrior DESPERATELY NEEDS this on at least Whirlwind attack, Shield Bash, Earthshaker and Evis. Physical skills too.

However, IF there is any way to just change all movement skills to be affected by quickness if you take heightened focus. That could be a good balance for people that were annoyed by quickness reducing length of movement skills?

Alright so
1… I didnt even include rush in the last post asking for specific skills to be changed..

2. Don’t take the quickness trait, OR watch your buff bar and don’t use the skill during quickness duration.

3. Make it a pvp only change, because I literally can not think of a single downside in pvp, that is reasonable to keep warrior burst potential crippled by this.

You are seriously complaining about power warrior? If anything they only got more powerful. You’ll notice that the eviscerate undodgable bug has not been fixed (at least if it did i did not notice it in the notes, sheild is still a great companion weapon to the Axe. Greatsword has great maneuverability, and great damage. I run power warrior all the time, (and i suck at it) and i love it. I enjoy it regardless of if i run berserker or core warrior, and nothing they have done has nerfed it. as a matter of fact it has only gotten better.

Yes I am still complaining about what was broken OVER 6 months ago.

Not related in any way to the changes from last balance patch other than noting it is possible to change specific skills interaction with quickness.

This post also has nothing to do with the undodgable bug and I am completely for ANY BUG being fixed….

did you even read what I wrote about quickness??
This is about HAVING A CHOICE to use the quickness trait. Otherwise just get rid of heightened focus and give us a new trait.. I ask again…
Any chance of a REAL discussion about BURST POTENTIAL being CRIPPLED by this?

Have you tried using HS with quickness on a thief? I wonder if it reduces the range. Because if it does, Anet probably has a problem with the way movement skills interract with quickness. I would like to see GS3 and 5 to interract with quickness again, but going the full distance.

Ya…its not very fair at all nor is most of it justifiable.

Frenzy kinda died when they changed it so its unable to decrease stomp time. The whole thing needs a look at. Such things were lazy fixes to problems quickness had with other classes and their abilities.

It should increase all movement (arms/legs) by 50%, nuff said.

Still useful though, I still prefer heightened focus over burst mastery even with the adrenal health synergy. Just…room for improvement and fair factor.

Hopefully Dogged March will get merged into one trait with Warrior’s Sprint and will help with the chill/cripple issue.

Probably still why I enjoy running dogged march+hoelbrak+lemongrass in wvw on occasion, basically immune to all that trash.

GS is already great in WvW roaming, and it’s certainly not because of Whirlwind that it isn’t quite there in pvp: it is actually the only way to deal serious damage in duels, along with Arcing Slice, weapon swap sigils and dodges (if you play Strength).

Iirc, when quickness used to interact with our skills, it reduced the distance traveled due to math. I’d rather have what we have now.

Well there has been a whole lot more stuff being separated via game type recently.

Maybe putting this back to how it was in pvp and leaving it as is in pve could be a decent compromise…

Having a grandmaster trait that LITERALLY DOES NOTHING with 1/5 of all warrior skills is quite silly.

To clarify on my earlier point and, iirc, it goes back to when they didn’t want speed buffs to extend the distance traveled with skills like gs5, etc. To do that, they made it so the velocity of the character is a fixed number, that way it wouldn’t matter if you had quickness (or cripple), you would always go the same distance over the course of the channel time.

That made it so quickness reduced the distance traveled because it learned channel time, but increased the distance when slowed.

It sucked.

You know what sucked for me… when all of a sudden one patch took away my OPTIONS for GM Traits. 7 out of 17 of my skills did absolutely nothing with the grandmaster trait of my CHOICE and it was never considered as a pvp only change.
That sucked.

CLEARLY anet doesn’t want anyone but thief to have movement skills be affected by quickness… so just finish the job then!!
Just get rid of the trait, POSSIBLY the team could come up with a useful new trait?!
One that doesn’t force me to 1111111111111111111 when the proc hits?

BTW the axe mastery “buff” will still never be used, OUTSIDE OF MAYBE for 1 boss.
Just another trait that either needs a remake or to completely start over from scratch.
