I am currently doing map completion with warrior and looking to get it done as fast as possible what’s the best gear, weapons, and build to complete maps the fastest?

Only weapons and utilities matter. Use the highest damaging gear you can still survive with with GS+Sw/Wh and bulls charge. GLHF

I would recommend zerker gear if you can dodge appropriately. Otherwise Valkyrie or mix of knights and zerker. I used axe/mace and rifle while leveling and map completing and had no trouble with any mobs or vets. Have fun! Warrior is awesome for map completion. In fact my warrior is my only toon with 100%.

Map clearing is mostly about mobility. By the time you’re doing it fast, you’re probably 80 and have at least rare gear, potentially exotics. If that’s the case, it’s all about the most damage (preferably aoe) you can manage without dying.

But most of all, speed. Nobody wants to putter through the whole world. So sw/wh + gs are your highest mobility weapons with leaps and swiftness. Bring bulls charge too. Any +boon duration will keep your swiftness up longer. Banners too.

i can only advise to use warhorn to keep up perma swiftness with signet of rage, other than that, i’ve done it with a quite defensive gear (knight + cleric) and it wasn’t anything hard.
I think it’s more important to move quickly through the map.

It’s not as bad as it seems. I am terribad at PvP but I was able to get all the borderlands and EB in less than a month with casual WvW play, and that was mostly during Season 1. If you go at off-peak times you can often get a lot of stuff with no trouble at all. If you want to try out the WvW zerg fun, by all means, go right after Friday reset. Personally I found EB to be the most fun because you’re always taking stuff and having epic battles. Win or lose, it’s totally fun. You can still get good loot too, including the chance at precursors and T6 mats, etc. Just don’t leave it til it’s the last thing you need.

So by shortening the word battlegrounds to BG that somehow invalidates what I said… Great response! I take it you’re working on your forum post rank or something like that which drives you to post drivel like this…

I think he’s referring to the fact that they’re 3 Borderlands and 1 Eternal Battleground. Not sure why he’s harping on your terminology, since it really has no impact on the validity of your opinion. If he is insinuating that you’re a WvW noob, then it in fact further enhances your opinion, considering you’re expected to venture into WvW-land despite your obvious lack of desire to do so. World Completion is absolutely a PvE achievement.
