Marauder for WvW?
Not gonna lie, I really really really like the idea of marauder gear. It gives you more total stats than the zerk variant will (by that I mean add all them up into a single value and marauder is higher). I can’t really say if the extra vitality is enough to allow you to replace defensive utility slots with offensive ones (replacing endure pain/berserker stance etc). I mean if it doesn’t then i would suggest just 50% or less marauder and the other 50% being zerk. Reason being that marauder is gonna really eat ur power potential. I mean I always amount the tank on warrior to the number of pure blocks you can stack. Rousing resilience is special and can be added to that list as well…vitality and toughnesss and healing power outside of ur base really doesn’t compare to pure blocks especially not in wvsw where you get hit by infinity damage at any period in time.
Regardless I still love my marauder gear. The gs I don’t use anymore….zerker gs is just….i just can’t go back even though i loved the marauder one for so long. I still like using marauder on my offhand weaponset though (axe/shied/sword).
So I can only tell you that marauder weapons are worthwhile for solo/smallgrp wvsw…but mainly as compliments to something that does more damage (whether it be another group member or another one of ur attacks). In terms of everything else (armour/accessories)…my exp is berserker. Add the vitality/tank in other places such as food effects…..vitality stats often are the ones that have something of value that zerker players really want..and u won’t want more vitality if ur marauder.
