I’m trying to build my warrior for WvW, and I need some rune advice. I read that superior rune of melandru is good, but it is too expensive at 4g now. Is any cheaper runes I can buy?

You can get some pieces of exotic armor with Melandru runes through temple karma vendors.

you can also try hoelbrak they are very good and very cheap

I went with hoelbrak after kicking around the pros and cons of both. I am really happy I did. While you do not get the stun reduction with the fix to sigil of paralyzation its not that big of an issue anymore. With Dogged Mach, lemon grass, you still get 93% reduction in movement impairing conditions and 60% in all else. The turn around is you are much more offensively geared. As a warrior you will basically always have might on you so the increase to might is very nice too.

Yes, melandru is a very good rune for wvw. I’ve used it along with soldier runes. But I chose soldiers because no only is it cheaper but I prefer the shouts.

Melandru is nice though. Needs -condition duration food to be optimal. But with it, you are not limited to shouts build.

I generally prefer Hoelbrak.

Melandru runes are expensive, but they do provide “no-condition-management” and that’s a huge huge thing.
- If you’re rich, buyorder/buy from lionco.
- For the poorer, liberate mel temple, grab a piece of each and fune transmo the rune onto the final armor piece. In this case the cost is related to gem costs but is still a lot cheaper than fullon buying the stuff.
- And of course the third option is the hoelbrak runes, which i’ve recommended to guildies myself.
