Guild Wars 2

Hi,

I play a melee class every now and then. When I recently played my warrior, I was running along in an event in Cursed Shore. Think it was the Dwayna fight.

So I went in melee, and got killed in a second or two. I know I should be watching for tells of big crazy attacks, and I missed it.

So I have questions on how to improve your visibility of your character in melee in those type of events where there are 50 players around and a big boss. I had a hard time seeing the boss because it was flashing like a psychedelic kaleidoscope. This warrior is an Asura . . . .

Are there graphics options to tweak? Do you guys zoom super close?

Any advice is appreciated!

I rolled a Charr.

Seriously, my previous main was an Asura guard, and I always lost him in the thick of the flashing lights…. I don’t nearly as often with my Charr Warrior.

(I’ve also seen some people use poly-luminescent infusions and electro dyes to make their toons stand out; that’s definitely another option)

P.S. A Norn would work equally as well… but there’s no reason to roll one when Charr are an option.

You’d have to reroll, sorry.

In other threads when people have brought up the question of changing races, the devs have stated programming problems that they couldn’t overcome.

You can also lower the amount of other players being rendered in the settings. So even if there are like 100 players around me fighting the same boss, I only see in my screen 15-20.
