So if you’re gonna boost the healing for this skill, why wouldn’t you just do that by finally making it a physical skill?

Just curious………..

I’m guessing the reasoning is because there’s a trait that boosts it’s damage and mending deals no damage

Why does it need to by categorized under physical anyway? we put Rampage in there and look how well that turned out.

There have been so many requests for mending to be made into a physical skill. and really it would solve alot of problems. sure it would not stack with Peak Performance, but it would definitely make the skill pore useful by reducing the cooldown.

Mending needs somekind of neat mechanic attached to it. Something like “Mending applies 5 bandage stacks when used”.

Question is, what would the stacks do?

Maybe add some damage and knockback. Heal yourself, remove two conditions, damage foes around you and knockback them (not in that order). Not some huge damage, it’s a healing skill, but still. Especially knockback would be helpful.

I still think that merging mending and defiant stance would be a good idea to create a decent heal.
Making Mending physical does not make it good – would be still a terrible heal tbh.

Make it a physical skill. Heal for a fixed amount/remove condis, deal damage around you and heal for an additional X based on damage dealt by the skill.

Fixed.

And while you are at it, fix the useless Blood Reckoning. Atleast make it last longer or have charges….like i dont know…Shiro heal?

Mending would work as a Physical skill with the simple addition of “increases damage and healing” to Peak Performance. That’s seems like a simple enough fix.

A more difficult fix, but thematically appropriate, would be how I’ve suggested to change Mending in my Warrior Overhaul thread (It’s in the google sheet, located in the Utility Skill tab). A change like this would have it function more like Troll Ungent, and with a trait named “Mending”, a heal over time of some sort would fit.

Making it a physical skill would reduce its CD when traited with Physical skill redux. Making it a 15 sec CD. For 1.

Mending is now a physical skill.
Gives regen and and removes one condition every 2 seconds for six seconds

Seems simple enough.

I like that idea.
Could stick with the current condi-clense nature of the skill.
Gain 5 stacks of bandage for 10 seconds. Each stack prevents one condition from being applied.
(and by “one” I’m of course refering to stacks. If the hit applies 7bleeds, that counts as “one”)
