Mending or Adrenaline Heal?
Mending heals waaaay to little.

Yea once I’ve incorporated melandru/hoelbrak runes, lemongrass, and dogged march (or at times no dogged march) I can’t do without adrenaline heal. It’s just too viable and heals for way more. 5 seconds is not long enough to justify the tradeoff. Conditions typically bounce off me so I’m good.
Adrenal for sure. It’s the only heal that feels reasonable.
I prefer Adrenaline for the higher burst heal and the adrenaline full recharge, giving me more offensive options or condition removal through longbow and cleansing ire.
If you’re not using CI+longbow, on the other hand, Mending is possibly the more desirable option (depending on the rest of your build). Particularly because it cleanses the conditions BEFORE the heal (nasty poison…).
They each have a purpose. With full adrenaline, Healing Surge is our strongest heal. Below Stage 2, the only thing weaker in HPS is the active on Healing Signet. If you are running a build that sits on adrenaline, this will most likely be your heal. If you are running something built around lots of bursting, there are better options unless you are using it to fill your bar. I’ve seen some videos where warriors initiate a fight with the heal just for the full adrenaline. If you can avoid heavy damage for the first 30 sec, that isn’t a bad tactic.
Conversely, Mending is probably our safest and most versatile heal that serves well in just about every build. It is especially strong when paired with Restorative Strength because CC condis are removed first; which often helps Mending get to those groovy damaging condis.
Even Healing Signet has it’s merits, but that’s probably best saved for another post.

I think, it depends on your build which one is better for you.
Apart from the heal, the surge also refills your adrenaline meter, while mending cures conditions. I think Warrior has alot of condition removal choices these days, so if you have enough from traits/utilities and happen to use your burst skills alot, surge might be the better option.
However, i gave the healing signet another spin the other day and i quite liked it.
The constant regeneration heals me for 200hp every second, even more if you got some healing power from celestial trinkets like me.
Within 30 seconds (the CD on Healing surge) you regenerate at least 6k hp without doing anything. Even after you have 2 full bars of adrenaline, healing surge will heal for less. So if you know how to avoid burst damage it gives the best heal over time without you having to do anything.
Also, the cooldown is way shorter, 20s (or 16s with signet mastery). of course, you lose the regeneration once you pop the signet but it might make sense, if you have traits or runes that give you boni, everytime you use a healing skill.
