Hi Warrior team!

I’ve been theory crafting today when I should be working. Yes I give myself enough guilt on that so no need to add to it

Here’s what I want to do. I want to break open a gut wrenching burst damaging gunner with a greatsword for mobility. I’ve run them all and settled mainly on knights with berserker / knights trinkets with a 3k armor type build with longbow/greatsword. Does great but my critical damage is fairly low. Of course I could switch some out and go cavalier or valkyrie but I haven’t yet.

So here’s the situation. I’ve built two builds of which one is more glass cannon that needs to stack higher crit chance because he cannot afford to keep FGJ so as to help mitigate. He does though get Bererker’s Power.

The other build I think I am actually leaning towards because of the utility it brings. It doesn’t use Berserker’s Power and has 0 in arms, however he makes up for it by picking up Dogged March and Last Stand. Sure the toughness is a bit of help but really small overall. The key though is those two traits and some lemongrass food really helps me out defensively. I also don’t have to pick up balanced stance; it can be argued it can still be useful but as a skirmisher fights are not back to back within the 90 second reset window unless you’re zerging – and in that case I am not in need of balanced stance as much.

Also the defense type build picks up OMM, which attempts to offset the 12% damage loss on a full adrenaline bar that berserker’s power offers. Sure it’s not as constant but it attempts to make up for it by bringing 10% instant damage boost to the table. You might argue you can include OMM in the offensive build above, but I am not sure I can trade balanced stance to get it.

Lastly, it makes up for lower crit chance by picking up FGJ and picking up Heightened Focus instead of Mobile Strikes, relying instead on 73% less condition time duration on immobilize skills.

What would you do if you were me and had to pick one of these builds?

You don’t really want to have Bull’s Charge if you’ll be using rifle and Superior Rune of the Scholar. You also want as much damage as possible since the rifle is insane with damage. Superior Rune of Generosity is wasted on a rifle damage build. If anything, you should put it on your GS (if you really want to use it).

But if you’re really adamant on those two builds, go with the first one.

As for the second build, Arms [ 25 ] is a must on your build. I’d suggest moving some points from Discipline to Arms [ 25 ] and Defense [ 25 ] to get those nice bonuses. Or at least change Discpline [ 30 ] to Discipline [XI] for Kill Shots.

I’m able to switch from Axe & Shield to Rifle depending on the situation. Food and Oil I chose are incredibly cheap as well and helpful with this build.
