Q:
My name is ScoHook and I am a bleed warrior.
Look into Knight’s gear or PVT gear. Theoretically, you could go full 30 defense 30 tactics and be relatively survivable, however this is offset by lack of power and precision. So if you like seeing those big numbers, you might want to try a glass build.

That looks quite good. Do you think 30/0/20/20/0 could be viable? I haven’t played in some time and I really can’t tell from the descriptions alone.
How good would it be if they create a more stable bizerker bleed build(aka Gutz). 60%bleed on critics with sigil of earth rocks when combined with bleed duration. Make it rain blood.

The problem with condition warrior is all its damage comes from one condition but a lot of it. Where one cure will take it all away.
On my necromancer I can put Confusion Burning Chill Bleeding Poison Torment Weakness all in a short period of time. (2-3 seconds.) Then spread it to your friends with Epidemic…
I can do this all from a safe distance. Whereas a Warrior has to be in the thick of it, taking aoe damage for mediocre returns.

I know, and you are right. That’s why I want to get away from the built. But I still feel like I have to defend it a bit :-D
For me it always had one neat advantage: The bleed goes well with auto attack of the sword and the rifle. One trait line and gear set works equally well for two different weapon sets.

Necromancer’s Scepter has Bleed-Bleed-Poison, which applies faster then rifle. (faster attack speed.)

For my play style (mainly WvW), I find it to be extremely survivable with high damage capability.
just spitballing more ideas at you, here is a pretty tanky and decent dmg concept build
build highlights are: 3.7k toughness, 52% crit chance / 56% crit dmg, and just under 2.5k power/3.5k attack, with just under 19k hp
in theory, you have a lot of CC with this build, throw in whatever utility skills you may wish to put in there.
I toyed a bit with your Meta Build. I think I will try something like that with cheaper items and see how it works. My main problem with it is that the trait lines doesn’t really fit with what I try to achieve. Either they have the wrong attributes or the wrong weapons are supported. :-D

you aren’t running any consumables with your builds?
Since you’re not doing dungeons you’re really not going to encounter too many situations where you’ll be hitting the bleed cap AND where your dps matters at the same time. The only place you’ll be hitting it is world bosses, and you’re going to get your loot regardless. You can play a bleed (condition) warrior in open world PvE and WvW just fine. Unless you really don’t like the playstyle there’s no reason to change. Sword/Sword + Longbow is actually very strong right now in WvW for soloing and small groups.

I have played quite casual so far, for me consumables were something that happened to other people. Probably not the wisest choice. :-D

I agree with Sagramor, for solo play a tanky condi build works just fine. People won’t like you in Dungeons as the expect the Warrior to do direct damage DPS. If you want to go for the Banners build I would use something like this and go 30 in tactics.
The healing signet and regen you’ll get from banners along with your super tanky PTV will let you facetank pretty much anything. Add some mango pie and you can agro a vet and go AFK. Stronger bowstrings actually makes you bow weaker even though it increases the range, 900 to 1200 isn’t enough to make it worth while IMHO. Traiting “empower allies” instead will give you extra power.

I have tried this built and am quite happy. Although I have changed banners to shouts with corresponding adaption to the traits. Random people running off with my banners was just too annoying.
Damage and survivability is really good.
Hey, I run a Greatsword/Hammer build. It’s full glass cannon, Berserker Armor/trinkets with Ruby Orbs. Sigil of Night on the Greatsword and Force on the Hammer. 30/25/0/0/15.
It’s not as High DPS as Greatsword and Axe/Mace but Hammer does have nice CC though usually not needed in PvE for top of the line groups but for more casual play it’s nice.
The utilities I run are Healing Signet, For Great Justice, Banner of Strength, Banner of Discipline, and Battle Standard (this is when I’m the only Warrior in the group)
Switch Banner of Strength (or Discipline depending on what the other Warrior brings if there’s 2) with On My Mark
For solo play you use Signet of Rage as your Elite. Change the Banners for Frenzy and Signet of Might or Fury, or whatever you feel like can still use one Banner.
With my Guild in dungeons in average around 25-30K with Hundred Blades depending on the level of the dungeon against a boss. With enough Might stacks Hammer skills 2, 4, and 5 and can do almost as much.
You bring some of the highest damage in the game, and increase the group’s damage dramatically with this build
